What We're Announcing
- Concrete is entering its next phase. Today, we are introducing the Concrete Foundation, the governance and treasury entity supporting the long-term development of the Concrete protocol.
- We are also introducing CT, the native governance and configuration token of the Concrete ecosystem. By actively locking or staking CT, eligible holders will be able to participate in Protocol governance and access defined configuration features under the applicable governance and smart-contract rules
- Concrete Network, Ltd. issued CT and is the entity seeking its admission to trading. Details on the CT TGE, including timing and venues, will be shared separately.
The ecosystem today:
- $1.2B in deposits
- $23B+ in cumulative volume
- 54,000+ depositors
- 1.2M+ wallets connected and verified by signature
- Custody integrations with BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. and Ceffu through AssetCX
Concrete has reached a scale where the decisions that shape the Protocol matter more than ever. To meet this growing challenge, the Foundation and CT are taking the next steps by establishing a framework for making those decisions more transparent and, over time, putting more of them in the hands of the ecosystem.
Institutional demand is a large part of what we see today. Through AssetCX, co-developed with the BitGo team, Concrete brings on-chain yield infrastructure into qualified-custody workflows, giving institutions a path to put assets to work without rebuilding their custody stack.
Yield for the Next Generation of On-Chain Finance
Digital assets are institutionalizing. Custodians, exchanges, asset issuers and publicly traded companies now hold assets for themselves and their clients, and a growing share of that activity is moving on-chain.
As on-chain finance matures, these institutional counterparties expect their assets to earn, under the same controls, reporting and custody standards they already operate with. Yield is becoming a core part of the financial stack.
Yet, most of these institutions will not build yield products in-house. Rather, they need technology that allows them to launch and scale yield products that follow their own compliance requirements. Concrete is the solution and is built to be the foundation for that next generation of on-chain finance: a full range of products covering vaults, yield, white-label infrastructure and custody-native assets.
The Stack Behind On-Chain Yield
Offering on-chain yield products requires a technology stack most platforms do not have: vault smart contracts, share accounting and NAV reporting, access controls, monitoring tooling and custody integrations.
Building that stack in-house takes significant engineering time, resources, and ongoing maintenance. A wallet launching its first yield product needs something different from an asset issuer or an institution whose assets must stay in regulated custody. Demand for yield products has grown faster than the technology available to support them.
One Operating System, a Full Product Suite
Institutional capital moves on-chain once the infrastructure clears institutional requirements. We built Concrete around those requirements as an operating system, not a single product.
Institutions, exchanges, wallets, custodians and asset issuers can each use part of the Concrete suite on its own or combine them, depending on what they need to launch. None of them has to build a DeFi stack to do it.
The Concrete Ecosystem
- Earn: Our yield infrastructure for stablecoins, BTC, ETH and institutional assets, offered through public vaults or permissioned, KYC-gated deployments on the same audited contracts.
- Vaults: ERC-4626 vaults. Deposits become liquid ct[ASSET] shares that plug into the rest of DeFi, and NAV updates daily.
- Enterprise: White-label vault infrastructure. We provide the vault architecture, accounting and monitoring tooling, and our partners own the product and the customer relationship.
- AssetCX: Our dedicated product line for custody-native assets, co-developed with the BitGo team. Institutions whose assets must remain with a qualified custodian receive a 1:1 receipt token that can be used across the rest of the Concrete suite. Through AssetCX, we have onboarded capital from publicly traded digital asset treasuries. AssetCX can sit alongside Earn, Vaults and Enterprise

Putting Protocol Decisions in the Open.
Concrete was built to be modular. Governance should be too.
By locking CT, eligible holders may participate in governance over defined Protocol parameters and module settings. That includes decisions around strategy approvals, collateral classifications, fee frameworks, treasury-related policies and other matters within the scope of the governance framework.
The goal is straightforward: as Concrete expands across more assets, strategies, integrations and networks, the rules that shape the Protocol should become increasingly transparent and participatory.
Governance will roll out in stages. The current framework is moving toward greater on-chain governance, including a progressive transition from multisig-led administration to token-governed timelocks. We will publish a dedicated governance post covering the voting process, governance powers and rollout timeline.
The Concrete Foundation
The Concrete Foundation is a Cayman Islands foundation company set up to support governance of the Concrete protocol over the long term.
The Foundation coordinates Protocol governance and holds and administers the CT treasury. As governance develops, the Foundation will provide the structure through which proposals, treasury decisions and other governance processes can be coordinated and implemented.
Treasury resources may support Protocol development and maintenance, security and audits, ecosystem integrations and infrastructure, and Foundation governance and administrative expenses.
CT itself is issued by the Foundation’s BVI subsidiary, Concrete Network, Ltd., which is also the entity responsible for the CT crypto-asset white paper and for seeking CT’s admission to trading
CT
CT is the native governance and configuration token of the Concrete ecosystem. It is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum with a fixed total supply of 1 billion CT and no inflation mechanism.
CT is designed for active participation in Concrete:
- Governance: By locking CT, eligible holders may participate in decisions over defined Protocol parameters and module settings, including strategy approvals, collateral classifications, fee frameworks and treasury-related policies.
- Protocol configuration: Users who stake CT may access adjustments to certain Protocol-side fees applicable to their own interactions with supported Concrete modules, subject to predefined technical parameters.
- Participation: Depending on the applicable mechanism and level of participation, users who actively stake CT may become eligible for token rewards. Eligibility, timing and amounts are subject to the applicable rules and are not guaranteed.
CT does not confer ownership, equity, debt, dividend, profit-sharing or claim rights over the Protocol or its assets.
What's Next
- TGE: Details, including venues and timing, will be shared separately.
- Governance: Governance will be introduced progressively, with more Protocol decisions moving toward transparent, token-enabled processes.
- Cross-chain: CT is designed to expand across additional supported networks as the Concrete ecosystem grows.
- Ecosystem: We will continue integrating CT governance and configuration functionality across the broader Concrete ecosystem.
