Nottingham Forest are set to win the race for AFC Wimbledon youngster Junior Nkeng, @TEAMtalk can confirm.
TEAMtalk understands a deal is close to being agreed for an initial £850,000, with add-ons capable of taking the overall package above £1million.
Nkeng, who was born in Barcelona, has attracted strong interest after emerging as one of Wimbledon's brightest young talents.
The 19-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur youngster had also been monitored by Norwich City, Millwall and Queens Park Rangers, but it is Forest who are now closing in on his signature.
Forest have moved ahead of their rivals and are increasingly confident of completing the deal, with the final details now being worked through.
