People who were once so smart... people who pursued their businesses with such passion... are clearly going crazy. There have been many such cases recently.
What I found interesting was the perspective that doesn't treat this as a disease like a midlife crisis.
It's not that they went crazy; rather, it's just that people who were originally eccentric are shedding the rationality, shells, and "costumes" they wore when entering society in their 20s, as they age.
I started my business in my 40s, and I am one of those who has gone crazy lol.
With that self-awareness...
I believe that in your 40s, you should immerse yourself in something obsessively, to a level that makes others recoil.
Only those who have experienced it know. This is the view waiting for you.

Spending 5 hours on weekdays and 10 hours on weekends immersed in X ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━**
During my days as an employee, I was literally obsessed with one thing.
It was Twitter.
On weekdays, I spent 5 hours every day: before work, during breaks, and from after work until late at night.
On weekends, I spent 10 hours from morning till night.
I just kept interacting with people on Twitter day after day.
For me, who was living a repetitive life of just commuting between work and home, the new connections born from Twitter were nothing but stimulation.
I sacrificed time with my family, sleep, and hobbies, just to immerse myself in X.
,,, Objectively speaking, I was completely weird.
But those years of madness now support my life.

In my opinion, life's jumps aren't "linear."
It's not "work twice as hard, get twice the results."
The moment you cross a certain threshold, the world switches all at once.
Conversely, for those who don't cross the threshold, nothing changes.

This is the biggest waste.
There is definitely a scenery in this world that those who tried moderately can never see.
And to see it, you need to cross your own limits once. It's tough... but you have to cross it.

I believe there are three views visible after immersing yourself in something obsessively.
① The conviction that "I can do this much"
This is absolutely unattainable for those who tried moderately. It is absolute trust in oneself held only by those who gave it their all.
② The resolve that "If I fail after doing this much, I can quit cleanly"
If you're half-hearted, regrets remain. If you give it your all, regardless of the result, you can move on to the next step with a clear conscience.
③ The attraction that "Connections come to you only if you've done this much"
This is the most mysterious phenomenon. When you are immersed in something with madness, strangely enough, people and opportunities start visiting you from their side.

Try immersing yourself in something to a level that makes people recoil, at least once in your life.
It can be starting a business, a side hustle, social media, studying, or a hobby—anything is fine.
Just think that the moment people around you say "Shouldn't you take it easy?" is the point where you are "just short of the threshold" within yourself.
Don't stop there.
Step on the accelerator one more notch.

By the way, everything "good" in my life today exists only on the extension line of those years of madness.
My self who tried moderately probably wouldn't have gained any of it.
