The vote
We are putting the direction of Season 2 to the community.
- A dedicated Meridian Points allocation is set aside for the people who use the protocol.
- Four directions are on the ballot: mPerps traders, prediction markets, MLP liquidity providers, and ecosystem builders.
- Every group receives an allocation. Your vote does not cut anyone out; it sets which direction the distribution leads toward.
- Results are live, counted as the number of users who have voted for each direction, so you can see where the community stands at any moment.
The four directions
Each one points the same pool at a different part of what makes Meridian work.
- mPerps traders. The flow and open interest on Mutualized Perpetuals, trading global markets onchain and settled in USDe.
- Prediction markets. The users taking positions on sports, macro, and geopolitical outcomes, and the Combo Competitions on top.
- MLP liquidity providers. The capital in the MLP vault that backs the book and keeps markets deep.
- Ecosystem builders. The developers and integrators building on Meridian across Robinhood Chain.
Who votes
If you use Meridian, you vote.
- Trade mPerps, take positions in prediction markets, provide MLP liquidity, or hold Meridian Points. That is all it takes.
- Eligibility is read from your onchain activity at the snapshot. One wallet, one vote.
- No staking requirement, no minimum, no lockup to take part.
- Voting reads your activity. It never moves, unstakes, or locks anything.
What you get
We reward showing up, not just the outcome.
- Every user who votes receives an additional Meridian Points allocation, on top of Season 2.
- The allocation stands regardless of which direction wins, so there is no wrong way to vote.
- The result binds once 15% of eligible users have voted. Below that, the pool holds for a follow-up.
- A later implementation proposal turns the winning direction into exact weights. This vote sets the signal.
What's next
The protocol is owned by those who build and trade on it, and Season 2 keeps it that way. Season 1 rewarded the users who showed up first, from Ethereal through to Meridian, as mPerps and prediction markets went live on Robinhood Chain.
