- To celebrate the launch of Gears of War: E-Day, XBOX is bringing Emergence Day from the streets of Kalona to the heart of Los Angeles.
- On September 30, from 3pm to 10pm, an Emergence Hole and Corpser statue will transform Hollywood & Vine into an experience inspired by Emergence Day.
- The first 500 attendees will have the chance to meet up with other Gears fans to play Gears of War: E-Day before Early Access begins, as well as win prizes, and enjoy free themed food and beverage options.
- Gears of War is rated M for Mature, and this event is no different. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to attend.

The Locust are coming to LA. Join us on September 30 for a one-night only Gears of War: E-Day takeover at Hollywood & Vine. Be among the first to go hands-on with the game ahead of the official Early Access launch, and enjoy themed food and drinks, exclusive giveaways and more.
Whether you’re a longtime Gears fan or experiencing the series for the first time, this is your chance to get closer to the action and see what E-Day has in store.
But playing is just the beginning.
Gear up for Emergence Day and come dressed in your favorite Gears of War merch or cosplay for a chance to win prizes, including an XBOX Design Lab Gears of War: E-Day-inspired controller, designed by illustrator and long-time collaborator Luke Preece. Dust off that COG armor, grab your favorite Gears gear and come dressed and ready for the occasion.
We’ll also have exclusive themed refreshments on hand, with food, treats, and beverages available to help fuel your Emergence Day experience.
Get an airbrush Gears of War tattoo and show off your allegiance to the COG, then step up to our photo booth to commemorate the launch of Gears of War: E-Day.
For Gears and XBOX fans looking to join us in Hollywood, access to the experience will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis to guests 18 and older, and is limited to the first 500 guests. Guests wearing Gears of War merchandise will be granted access to a fast line.
Guests may begin queuing for access starting at 12pm Pacific on September 30.
