New “Trade” option connects users from the X timeline to a brokerage
New York, NY, September 15, 2026 — X today announced the U.S. launch of the X Cashtag Partner Program, connecting financial conversations on X with the ability to trade through participating brokerages. At launch, X users can tap through Cashtags to brokerage partners, including Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken and Coinbase.
Cashtags turn ticker symbols for stocks, ETFs and cryptocurrencies into interactive destinations, giving X users real-time access to market conversation and financial information. Now, X Cashtag partners give users a seamless path from discovering a ticker and following the conversation on X to taking action with a brokerage.
When users tap a supported Cashtag, they can view the asset’s price chart and related posts on X, then select “Trade” to continue to a participating brokerage, where they can log in or sign up and complete their trade.

“With our Cashtag partners, we’re connecting the financial conversation to action. People come to X to discover what’s happening, shape the conversation, and act in real-time on what matters to them. Our Cashtag partners make it possible to move seamlessly from discovery and conversation to a brokerage, without breaking the moment.”
How to trade with X Cashtag brokerage partners
- Find an asset: Search for or post a Cashtag on X.
- Explore on X: Tap a supported Cashtag to see related posts and price information.
- Tap a brokerage partner: Tap through to a participating brokerage’s mobile app or web experience, and log in to an existing account or sign up for a new one.
- Make a trade: Complete the transaction directly at the participating brokerage.

“Cashtags close the gap between a ticker on the timeline and the market itself. When you post or tap a ticker, you’re taken right to the asset, where you have seamless access to the live chart, the conversation around it, and now the ability to trade with one of our brokerage partners.”
