Kohsoku Corporation (Headquarters: Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture; President and CEO: Hiroki Koh), a specialized trading company for food packaging, has produced a new corporate CM featuring professional figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu to mark its 60th anniversary. The broadcast is scheduled to begin on September 18, 2026. Additionally, traffic advertisements featuring Yuzuru Hanyu will be displayed within JR Sendai Station starting September 1, 2026. The catchphrase for this initiative is "To the Next Dream."
Message Embedded in the CM
The concept for this CM is "Dreams."
A passage in Kohsoku Corporation's management philosophy states, "Always possess dreams and romance, and seek their realization by walking the royal road of dignified and proud commerce." In the way they have continued to walk their respective "royal roads" with dreams and romance in their hearts, Yuzuru Hanyu and Kohsoku Corporation deeply overlap.
Yuzuru Hanyu took flight from his roots in Sendai to the world, and even after achieving numerous milestones, he continues to challenge himself toward new dreams. The stance of not stopping even after fulfilling one dream, but moving toward the next, resonates with Kohsoku's desire to continue new challenges even after 60 years since its founding.
Two entities sharing the same origin in Sendai will continue to walk toward their dreams. In this CM, that sentiment is encapsulated in the message "To the Next Dream."
Background of Casting Yuzuru Hanyu
Since the first television CM Kohsoku Corporation conducted in its 57th year, the company has consistently valued its "connection with the region."
For the 60th anniversary, as a symbol to further develop that sentiment, we have cast Yuzuru Hanyu, who was raised in Miyagi and continues to challenge himself on the world stage.
We want to convey that Miyagi has companies and talent that the world can be proud of. Furthermore, we hope to deliver a message of hope to the children who will lead the future: "Even from regional areas, you can challenge your next dream."
Comment from Hiroki Koh, President and CEO of Kohsoku Corporation
Our company was born in Sendai and has grown thanks to the support of our customers and the local community. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, we felt the responsibility of supporting the food infrastructure by continuing to supply food packaging materials. Since then, we have continued to walk under the philosophy of "continuing to be a useful company for society."
Yuzuru Hanyu has also continued to challenge the world from his roots in Sendai, moving forward to the next dream every time he fulfills one. The 60th anniversary is not a goal for us, but a start toward the next dream. Through this CM, I would be happy if the children living in the region feel that they also want to challenge their next dream.

About Kohsoku Corporation
Founded in Sendai in 1966, Kohsoku Corporation has supported Japan's food industry through food packaging. Handling everything from packaging materials for supermarkets and convenience stores to product planning and distribution, our social significance lies in "supporting food distribution," "enhancing the deliciousness of food," and "contributing to food safety and security."
Currently, we are advancing new challenges in the environmental field, such as chemical recycling that utilizes plastic collected in the region as a resource again.
