**"Journaling is just for overachievers."
"It's boring and doesn't seem necessary for me right now."**
I used to think that way too.
However, once you realize the immense power gained from keeping a diary, anyone would find it impossible not to start writing.
I am one of those who has been feeling the effects of journaling firsthand since I started writing last November, about 10 months ago.

It might sound like an exaggeration to say "journaling changed my life," but I believe a diary is:
**"A tool to correctly recognize your current self"
"A way to visualize your ideal world"
"The only tool that guides you one-on-one to your life goals"**
In fact, according to research from Harvard Business School and other institutions:
People who took time to reflect on their experiences at the end of the work day performed approximately 23% better on subsequent tasks than those who simply kept working.
Instead of just writing down the day's events, writing in a format like:
**"What went well today?" "Why did it go well?" "What can be improved?" "What will I do tomorrow?"**
allows you to avoid letting daily work become a mindless routine and instead apply it to your next actions.
Journaling is just for overachievers, right?
That's what I thought before I started.
It seemed plain, tedious, and I didn't really understand the benefits.
While I knew "I should probably do it," I kept putting it off.
I finally got moving and started journaling last November. Although I skip some days, I have basically continued every day since.
Before I knew it, the view I had of the world had changed 180 degrees compared to before I started journaling.
I am writing this article for those who, like my former self, feel that "the benefits of journaling are unclear."
Humans can often see others clearly but lose the ability to make calm judgments when it comes to themselves.
However, by utilizing a diary, you can reduce wrong decisions and walk through life on a smoother path.
