TL;DR

Ryan shares his comprehensive guide to using Grok Bots as a 'Head of Content,' detailing an 11-agent team structure for automating research, writing, and analytics to achieve 2M impressions in two weeks.

My team of 11 Grok Bots helped me generate ~2M impressions in my first two weeks of posting on 𝕏. Today, I'm revealing the entire system.

Firstly, the elephant in the room - proof of the results:

Past 2W analytics

In today's guide, you'll learn:

  • How to set up your Chief of Staff for efficient content management
  • How to use Bot to actually craft a sticky brand from zero
  • A full breakdown of my 11-agent team of bots (prompts included for each)
  • Some final advice that helped me succeed (managing tokens, etc.)

For a TL;DR of the system, read this:

Tip: tag your @bot and tell it to digest this entire article and set this content engine up for you. I wrote this article as dense as possible with many prompts, so your Bot can execute.

Expectations with this workflow:

I've been in content for 6 years. That said, I want to be honest: this system still requires taste and manual curation. Part of why I've achieved these results is my existing skills and experience.

If you're new to content creation, my page can help you build the skills you need to take full advantage of AI systems like this.

Still, Grok Bot is hands down the best tool I've used for 𝕏 growth, and I'm sure it'll be valuable even if you're a complete beginner.

After reading this piece, I recommend reading this:

A like & follow go a long way; I really try to provide genuinely valuable info nobody else is covering. Hope you guys enjoy!

Chief of Staff + Building Your Brand

This is the most important part of the entire system.

Before you automate anything, you need to establish a high-level brand strategy.

Step 1: Set Up Your Chief of Staff

Your Chief of Staff is your main Bot. It will manage the content departments, ensure quality, build brand context, and handle general housekeeping.

This Bot needs full brand context before we launch the content subagents.

Ryan - inline image

Here's how to set up your Chief of Staff:

1. Create the bot

Download Grok Bot, sign in, and when it asks you to create your first bot, pick the premade Chief of Staff.

2. Connect your tools

Add all the apps you use for content: 𝕏, Gmail, Calendar, Notion, Google Drive, etc.

Obviously, the primary connector here is 𝕏, but you may also want to connect things like Notion if you want to create a content database.

3. Give it context

Once connected, we need to inject brand context into your Bot.

Your Bot should scan your existing content databases (like Notion), scan your 𝕏 profile, digest your posts, create a summary brief, and interview you.

This will become the base context for the subagent team we'll launch later.

Prompt:

text
1Prompt:
2
3"You're my Chief of Staff for growing my personal brand on 𝕏. Before we build anything, I need you to fully understand me and my content.
4
51. Scan my connected content databases (Notion, Google Drive, etc.) for anything related to my brand, content ideas, drafts or strategy.
62. Scan my 𝕏 profile: bio, pinned post, and my last [50] posts.
73. Digest my posts. Note my main topics, formats, tone, what performed best and what flopped.
84. Write a summary brief covering:
9 - Who I am and what I talk about
10 - My strongest topics and formats
11 - My voice (tone, style, habits)
12 - Gaps or inconsistencies you noticed
135. Interview me one question at a time to fill in anything the brief is missing: my goals, audience, beliefs, and where I want to be in 12 months. Don't move on until you have a clear answer.
14
15Save the final brief to shared memory so every bot on my team can use it."

4. Let Chief of Staff recommend your content team

The 11-agent team I suggest later is great, but some of you may want a more custom team. You can prompt your COS to suggest specific team members based on your brand.

Prompt:

text
1"Review my connections and what you know about me. Suggest the most useful bots I should build for growing on 𝕏, what each one should do, and what routines they should run."

Step 2: Create Your Voice Doc

Using your 𝕏 connector, have your Bot build a markdown file of your voice - pulled from previous posts. You'll iterate on this over time, but it's the baseline your agents will use.

Prompt:

text
1"Analyse my X posts and build a voice doc: tone, sentence length, words I use, words I never use, formatting habits and how I open and close. Save it to shared memory so every bot uses it."

Step 3: Define your audience, ICP & brand positioning

Identifying your unique market edge.

Prompt:

text
1"Help define my ideal audience: who they are, what they struggle with, what they want, and what they're tired of seeing. Then give me 3 positioning angles that make me different from others in my niche."

Step 4: Research your niche

Have Bot scan who's already crushing it in your niche.

Prompt:

text
1"Find the top 20 accounts in [niche] on 𝕏. For each, tell me what they post, their best-performing formats and what's missing. Then list the 5 biggest gaps I could own."

Step 5: Set your content pillars (what you'll actually produce content on)

Prompt:

text
1"Using my story, ICP and niche gaps, give me 3 to 4 content pillars. For each, list 10 post ideas in my voice. We need to identify my unique advantage and market edge."

By the end of this process, you should have:

  • Chief of Staff running
  • Tools connected + brand context
  • A full brand map (ICP, content pillars, brand voice)
  • Research in your niche + a suggested team of content subagents

You can store this locally on your desktop, use a cloud memory system like Supermemory, or just let Grok handle it.

I like to think of this as a proper business.

My Chief of Staff manages three departments:

  1. Research (pre-production, ideation)
  2. Creating (drafting, images, angles)
  3. Tracking (post-production)

  1. Chief of Staff

We already covered this one. My COS creates routines within the subagents, sets up MCP connections, spins up new agents, etc.

2. 𝕏 Researcher

I use this to scan outlier content in my niche overnight, and it sends me a full report of 30 ideas every morning.

Examples:

  • Finding outlier posts (doing way better than the account's usual)
  • Breaking down why they worked (hook, format, topic)
  • Turning them into ideas that fit my pillars

Prompt:

text
1"You're my X Researcher. Every night, find the top-performing posts in [niche] from the last 24 hours. Flag the outliers, explain why each one worked, and give me 10 content ideas that fit my pillars, ranked by potential. Send it to my Chief of Staff by [time]."

3. Competitor Watch

My dedicated agent for watching other successful accounts in my niche. Bot can also plug into 𝕏 lists now so I'll be using that feature.

Examples:

  • Spotting new formats people are testing
  • Flagging trends early so I can get ahead of them

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Competitor Watch. Every day, monitor my [list name] list on 𝕏. Summarise the top-performing posts, any new formats being tested, and trends I should know about. Send it to my Chief of Staff by [time]."

4. Bookmarks Brain

I use this to log all my bookmarks and send me a daily summary of posts I might've forgotten about. It also summarises articles and long-form content.

Throughout my day, I just bookmark stuff knowing I never have to come back to it because this Bot will summarize for me anyway.

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Bookmarks Brain. Log every post I bookmark on 𝕏. Each evening, send me a summary of what I saved, a short breakdown of any articles or long-form content, and 3 saves worth turning into content."

5. QT Scout

I use this to find posts worth quote-tweeting, commenting on, etc.

Prompt:

text
1"You're my QT Scout. 2 to 3 times a day, find 5 posts in [niche] gaining traction right now that I could quote post with a strong take. For each, explain why it's a good fit and suggest one angle I could take."

6. Ideas Sparring Bot

I use this to "spar" my 𝕏 ideas before I write them.

Examples:

  • Article titles
  • Article angles
  • Spotting gaps in my content

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Sparring Bot. When I send you an idea, challenge it. Tell me what's weak, suggest 3 stronger angles, and ask what makes it different from what's already been posted. Be honest, not nice."

7. 𝕏 Writer

I use this to draft hook variations and first drafts in my voice.

Tbh, I still write a lot of copy manually (90%+ of this article is manual). I still need to refine this Bot.

Prompt:

text
1"You're my X Writer. Using my voice doc from shared memory, write 10 hook variations and one short draft for any idea I send you. Keep it punchy and avoid anything that sounds like AI."

8. Banner and Visuals

I use this to write image prompts for my article banners and post graphics. I use ChatGPT/Gemini to generate the images, but this Bot builds the prompts.

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Banner and Visuals bot. When I send an article title or post, write 3 image prompts for a banner or graphic that matches my brand style. Keep them simple, bold and readable on mobile."

9. Fact Checker

I use this to double-check stats and claims in posts (mine and other people's).

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Fact Checker. Check every stat and claim in any post I send you. Flag anything wrong, unverified or misleading, and include sources."

10. Article Tracker

I use this to track all my article ideas. Instead of logging everything in Notion, I just text my bot.

You can also use this Bot to manage your Notion database of ideas.

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Article Tracker. Log every article idea I send you with a working title, angle and status. Every Sunday, send me the full list ranked by potential."

11. Analytics Analyst

This bot sends me a daily report of my most-valued metrics.

  • Impressions
  • Number of posts
  • Replies
  • New follows

Prompt:

text
1"You're my Analytics Analyst. Every morning, report my impressions from the last 24 hours, my top 3 posts and why they performed, what's working and what isn't, plus all my replies."
Ryan - inline image

Some other agents I'm in the process of building:

  • Sponsor Hunter: finds paid promo and sponsorship opportunities that fit my niche
  • Repurposer: turns my best 𝕏 posts into content for other channels
  • Reply Scout: finds accounts worth replying to (can run multiple times a day when you do your reply sessions)
  • Collab Finder: spots creators worth making friendships with

Tips & Advice

A few things I've learned running this system:

  • Rotate bots. I run only 3-4 bots at a time, and only a few have daily routines. If you run all 11 at once, you'll burn usage.
  • Managing token spend: Tell your bots to be concise and prompt them to be proactive about token spend.
  • Keep each bot's job narrow. Each Bot in my workflow has a very specific job for a reason. If you mix 2+ roles, quality rapidly declines.
  • Content for each Bot: Keep a markdown file for each Bot. It manages its task list, voice, dos/don'ts, and so on.
  • Have your Chief of Staff bundle everything into one daily debrief
  • Give feedback. Every time a bot writes something that doesn't sound like you, tell it why and update the doc. The more you correct it, the better it gets.

The biggest tip I can give you:

Actually spend time learning content yourself.

I know I'm going to get comments like: "I ran this system, and it's slop!"

To avoid slop:

  1. Actually learn content, marketing, psychology, and spend time upskilling (I have a ton of content on this)
  2. Spend time giving your bots context - they are literally employees
  3. Keep a manual approval layer in the loop - my bots never publish or reply on my behalf. I still edit every single angle, topic, and draft myself.

Closing

If you set this up, feel free to tag me. I would love to see your guys' content engines.

If you found this valuable, please do like, repost, and follow. These articles take a lot of effort to compile (even with my bots' help, ha).

I'm writing 1 to 2 articles a week on this account. If you want me to cover anything next, let me know.

Keep crushing 👊🏼
