It’s October, which means we have entered the scariest part of the year. Not because 2026 is already 75% over, but because of ghosts, skeletons, and little green ghouls, buddy! We have some fresh, new spooky stuff we sent your way, like a special ringtone by The Living Tombstone and a positively ghastly loading animation. Make sure you read it because it will be on the exam.
Make Servers and Channels “Move To…” Easier
You no longer have an excuse to not archive your old unused channels.
You just joined an emoji server that specializes in a mysterious puffer fish, and down it goes, immediately thrown in a server folder with the others. Now, instead of holding-and-dragging it allllll the way to your emoji server folder, you can right-click that bad boy and “Move to…” any folder you want! And it’s not limited to just servers – you can also right-click channels to “Move to…” the category they belong to. You can even reorder entire folders with it!
Better Markdown Previews
Who is Mark and why is he down for whatever??
When you upload a Markdown (.md) file, you’ll now see the file rendered all nice and neat and pretty instead of with a bunch of symbols. This includes tables, formatting, all that good stuff. Totally great for when you’re doing a casual Sunday-night sharing READMEs with your friends.
New Nitro Morsels + 1GB uploads
Filmed my band's concert and put it on Discord, call that uploading a gig.
If you’re a fancy Nitro member, you get two new perks: 20% off YouTube Premium for 6 months (Current and new subscribers, Terms apply.), and you can now upload files up to 1GB in size! Upload the entirety of your photos from your recent trip to Dinosaur, Colorado, or your sick skate videos of you doing an inward heelflip over the brontosaurus.
Prettier Media Attachments
I bet you don't know how to see what's in this ha ha
We recently rewrote our entire image and video-sharing media engine! The Engineers said they replaced the old C++ codebase with Rust, resulting in more accurate results, better-preserved colors, and improved reliability.
**Even more??!
