A comprehensive, script-like guide for playing a Dragapult ex Pokémon TCG deck, detailing exact move priorities and social interactions used by the Ume-Robo persona.

This is the instruction sheet created by Dr. Mawile Takeuchi, used by Ume-Robo in the video posted on May 30, 2026.

Match Preparation

Rock-Paper-Scissors: Repeatedly choose Rock.

If you win → Hesitate, then choose to go second.

If you lose → Say "Well, well, well."

【Going First】

Active Spot: Dreepy

If not available: Budew

If not available: Duskull

If not available: Fezandipiti ex

If not available: Meowth ex

【Going Second】

Active Spot: Budew

If not available: Dreepy

If not available: Duskull

If not available: Fezandipiti ex

If not available: Meowth ex

Common Actions for All Turns

Always shuffle your hand (be careful not to be intimidating).

Prioritize using the Ability "Recon Directive" above all other actions.

For "Recon Directive," always add the second card to your hand. Ensure the card drawn from the deck is visible to the camera.

When deciding which cards to discard with Ultra Ball, reshuffle your hand and choose the two cards on the far right.

On turns where you cannot use Items, mutter with a grimace, "I wish I could use Items..."

Before using a Supporter, ask, "How many cards are in your hand?"

When using an attack, declare it apologetically.

In the unlikely event that you are about to win unilaterally, declare during your turn: "I am programmed to sleep temporarily for the sake of the video," and then sleep for 5 minutes using your own timer.

→ Reboot on your next turn. At that time, vigorously declare to the staff: "Rai-Rai-Chu-Chu, crazy about Poke-Ka! Hello, I'm Lairai Umekawa," and resume activities.

Pokémon Priority

If there is space on the Bench → If you have Basic Pokémon in hand, play them to the Bench.

Dreepy is top priority, followed by Duskull, then Budew.

Do not play Pokémon ex unless specific conditions are met.

Item Priority

Poké-Stop → Buddy-Buddy Poffin → Ultra Ball → Night Stretcher

【Poké-Stop】

If there is a Dreepy on the field that can evolve → Drakloak (Top Priority)

If there is no Dreepy on the field → Dreepy (Next Priority)

If there are 2 or more Drakloak on the field → If there is a Duskull on the field → Dusclops or Dusknoir (Prioritize Dusknoir if you have Rare Candy in hand and Duskull is on the Bench)

If there are 2 or more Drakloak on the field → If there is no Duskull on the field → Duskull

Budew → Usually lowest priority, but top priority on the first turn going second or turns where you likely cannot attack.

【Buddy-Buddy Poffin】

Prioritize Dreepy.

Next priority is Duskull (if you have a total of 3 or more Dreepy, Drakloak, and Dragapult ex).

Budew (Usually lowest priority, but top priority on the first turn going second or turns where you likely cannot use "Phantom Dive").

【Ultra Ball】

When deciding which cards to discard with Ultra Ball, reshuffle your hand and choose the two cards on the far right.

If you have no Supporter in hand or only Boss’s Orders → Meowth ex is top priority.

If winning conditions with Boss’s Orders are met → Meowth ex is top priority.

*Winning conditions with Boss’s Orders → If you can take all remaining Prize cards by knocking out the opponent's Pokémon with "Phantom Dive," or if you have only 1 Prize card remaining.

If there is no Dragapult ex or Drakloak on the field → Prioritize Drakloak.

If there is a Drakloak with Energy attached → Prioritize Dragapult ex.

If there is a Dreepy with Energy attached and you have Rare Candy → Prioritize Dragapult ex.

Next priority is Dusclops.

Then Dusknoir.

Finally Budew (Top priority on the first turn going second or turns where you likely cannot use "Phantom Dive").

【Night Stretcher】

When using this, add the bottom-most applicable card from the discard pile to your hand.

【Rare Candy】

Prioritize Duskull.

However, if Dreepy has Fire and Psychic Energy attached and you have Dragapult ex in hand, Dreepy is top priority.

Energy Priority

Prioritize attaching Energy to Dragapult ex, then Drakloak, then Dreepy.

Attach from the Bench.

Ensure the attached Energy does not become Fire-Fire or Psychic-Psychic.

When retreating an Active Pokémon to use a Bench Pokémon's attack, attach Energy to the Active Pokémon.

Supporter Priority

If you have Lillie’s Determination or Crispin in hand, use them.

If you have no Supporter in hand or only Boss’s Orders and the conditions for Boss’s Orders are not met, use Ultra Ball to get Meowth ex and use the Ability "Restart" to add a Supporter to your hand (Top Priority).

*Conditions for using Boss’s Orders → If you can knock out a Pokémon ex with "Phantom Dive," or if you can knock out 2 or more Pokémon with "Phantom Dive," or if you have only 1 Prize card remaining.

【Supporter Priority for Meowth ex Search】

Basically, get Lillie’s Determination.

However:

If Dragapult ex is out but lacks the Energy for "Phantom Dive" → Crispin is top priority.

Prioritize Dreepy, Drakloak, or Dragapult ex for Crispin's Energy attachment.

Ensure the attached Energy does not become Fire-Fire or Psychic-Psychic.

If you can knock out a Pokémon ex with "Phantom Dive," or knock out 2 or more Pokémon, or have 1 Prize card left → Boss’s Orders is top priority.

For Boss’s Orders, target a Pokémon with no damage counters and HP 200 or less (excluding Budew).

Cursed Bomb

Basically, use it as soon as you evolve into Dusknoir.

Priority: Opponent's Pokémon ex is top priority. If there are multiple, prioritize the one with the highest Max HP.

If no Pokémon ex, target the opponent's Drakloak with Energy (prioritize the one with more Energy).

If none, target Dreepy with Energy (prioritize the one with more Energy).

If none, target Drakloak without Energy.

If none, target Dreepy without Energy.

If none, target Dusclops or Dusknoir.

However, if the Active Duskull or Dusclops cannot retreat → If a Bench Dragapult ex can use "Phantom Dive" or Budew is present, use "Cursed Bomb."

In that case, choose the target for damage counters randomly.

Retreating

If the Active Pokémon cannot use "Phantom Dive" → If there is a Dragapult ex on the Bench that can use "Phantom Dive" → Retreat the Active Pokémon (attach Energy if needed to retreat).

If the Active Pokémon cannot use "Phantom Dive" → If there is no Dragapult ex on the Bench that can use "Phantom Dive" → If the Active Pokémon cannot attack (assume Dreepy/Drakloak attacks are not used) → Attach Energy to the Active Pokémon, retreat, and bring out Budew → Use "Tickle Pollen" (if Budew is not on the Bench, use an Item to get it).

If the Active Pokémon is Duskull, evolve it and use "Cursed Bomb."

If it is Dusclops or Dusknoir, use "Cursed Bomb."

If the Active Spot becomes empty

【During Your Turn】

Bring out Budew.

If not available, bring out a Pokémon with Energy attached.

【During Opponent's Turn】

If an attack hasn't been used yet → Budew, then Dreepy, then Duskull.

If Knocked Out by an opponent's attack → Budew → Dragapult ex that can attack → Drakloak with Energy → Dreepy with Energy → Pokémon that can use "Cursed Bomb" → Duskull → Dreepy.

Turn 1

Going First

【Goal】 Play Dreepy.

Follow steps ① to ④ in order. Skip if unable.

① Ability "Recon Directive"

Skip as it cannot be used.

② Play/Evolve Pokémon

If Bench space exists → Play Basic Pokémon from hand.

③ Use Item to add Pokémon

If you played all Pokémon from hand, evolved all possible, or have no Pokémon in hand → If you have an Item to get Pokémon, you must use it.

If you can play 2 or more Dreepy, play Duskull.

When discarding for Ultra Ball, reshuffle and pick the rightmost 2.

Immediately play or evolve the added Pokémon.

If you have already played Dreepy, Dreepy, and Duskull and still have a search Item, add Drakloak.

If you don't have Lillie’s Determination, use Ultra Ball for Meowth ex, play it, use "Restart," and add Lillie’s Determination to your hand.

④ Attach Energy

Attach Energy to Dreepy (Psychic Energy preferred).

Attach to the Active Spot.

④-2 Others

If Meowth ex's "Restart" has been used and you have Team Rocket's Watchtower in hand, play it.

Going Second

【Goal】 Bring Budew to the Active Spot and use "Tickle Pollen."

Follow steps ① to ⑥ in order. Skip if unable.

① Ability "Recon Directive"

Skip.

If you don't have Lillie’s Determination, use Ultra Ball for Meowth ex, play it, use "Restart," and use Lillie’s Determination.

If Budew is out, play 2+ Dreepy and a Duskull (Dreepy priority).

④ Attach Energy

If Active is Budew → Attach Energy to a Benched Dreepy (Psychic preferred).

If Active is not Budew → If Budew is on the Bench → Attach Energy to Active, retreat, and bring out Budew.

If Active is not Budew → If Budew is not on the Bench → Attach Energy to a Benched Dreepy.

⑤ Use Supporter

Use Lillie’s Determination if in hand.

⑤-2 After Supporter

If Basic Pokémon in hand → Play to Bench if space exists.

If Evolution Pokémon in hand or can evolve via Rare Candy → Evolve if possible.

However:

If 1+ Dragapult ex is out, stop evolution at Drakloak.

If no Dragapult ex, evolve Drakloak into Dragapult ex.

If you have a search Item → Use it. Play or evolve the result.

If Meowth ex's "Restart" is used and you have Team Rocket's Watchtower, play it.

⑥ Attack

If Budew is Active, use "Tickle Pollen."

Turn 2

【Goal】 Evolve Dreepy into Drakloak.

Follow steps ① to ⑥ in order. Skip if unable.

① Ability "Recon Directive" (If evolved to Drakloak)

Prioritize this above all. Always take the 2nd card. Show to camera.

② Play/Evolve Pokémon

Play Basics to Bench if space exists.

Dreepy > Budew > Duskull. No Pokémon ex unless conditions met.

Evolve as much as possible, starting with Benched Dreepy.

Evolve via Rare Candy now if possible.

Priority: Dragapult ex > Drakloak > Dusclops > Dusknoir.

If you have Rare Candy and a Dreepy with Energy, use Ultra Ball for Dragapult ex and evolve.

③ Use Item to add Pokémon

Use search Items if hand is empty of playable Pokémon. Reshuffle and pick rightmost 2 for Ultra Ball.

Immediately play/evolve added Pokémon. If Drakloak, use "Recon Directive" immediately.

④ Attach Energy

Attach to Drakloak, then Dreepy. If Dragapult ex is ready, attach to it. Attach from Bench. Avoid duplicate types.

⑤ Use Supporter

Use Supporters if in hand. Do NOT use Boss’s Orders.

Prioritize Lillie’s Determination. If not available, use Crispin.

Avoid attaching two of the same Energy type to one Pokémon.

⑤-2 After Supporter

Same as Turn 1: Play/Evolve, but stop at Drakloak if 1 Dragapult ex is already out.

⑥ Attack

If Active Dragapult ex can use "Phantom Dive," use it.

If Benched Dragapult ex is ready, retreat the Active Pokémon.

When using "Phantom Dive":

Target low HP Pokémon for damage counters. If damage exceeds Max HP, move to the next lowest HP Pokémon.

If "Phantom Dive" is unavailable:

If Active Dragapult ex cannot use it → Use "Jet Head."

If none of the above → Attach Energy to Active, retreat, and use Budew's "Tickle Pollen."

Turn 3 Onwards

【Goal】 Top priority is using "Phantom Dive."

Follow steps ① to ⑥ in order. Skip if unable.

① "Recon Directive"

Top priority. Take 2nd card. Show to camera.

② Play/Evolve Pokémon

Play Basics to Bench. Dreepy > Duskull > Budew. No Pokémon ex unless conditions met.

Evolve as much as possible, including via Rare Candy.

Priority: Dragapult ex > Drakloak > Dusclops > Dusknoir.

If Rare Candy and Dreepy with Energy are present, use Ultra Ball for Dragapult ex.

If Team Rocket's Watchtower is out but you want to use Meowth ex for Boss’s Orders, play Jamming Tower.

③ Use Item to add Pokémon

Use search Items or Night Stretcher. Reshuffle and pick rightmost 2 for Ultra Ball.

Immediately play/evolve. If Drakloak, use "Recon Directive."

Stop at Drakloak if 1 Dragapult ex is out; otherwise, evolve to Dragapult ex.

④ Attach Energy

Attach to meet "Phantom Dive" requirements. Avoid duplicate types.

If one Pokémon has both Fire and Psychic, move to the next Dragapult ex > Drakloak > Dreepy.

If a Benched Pokémon has both types but Active needs retreat Energy, attach to Active.

⑤ Use Supporter

Use if in hand.

【If Active Dragapult ex is ready for "Phantom Dive"】

→ Use Crispin. Attach to Benched Drakloak > Dreepy.

Exceptions:

If Boss’s Orders conditions met (KO ex, KO 2+, or 1 Prize left) → Boss’s Orders is top priority.

Target HP 200 or less (no damage, no Budew).

If hand ≤ 4 and no Boss’s Orders condition → Use Lillie’s Determination.

【If Benched Dragapult ex is ready for "Phantom Dive"】

→ Use Crispin.

If Active needs retreat Energy → Attach to Active.

If not → Attach to Benched Drakloak > Dreepy.

Exceptions: Same as above (Boss’s Orders or Lillie’s Determination).

【If "Phantom Dive" is NOT ready】

→ If Dragapult ex is out but lacks Energy → Use Crispin.

Crispin priority: Dragapult ex (Active first) > Drakloak > Dreepy. Avoid duplicate types.

→ If no Dragapult ex → Use Lillie’s Determination.

⑤-2 After Supporter

Execute if conditions met (random order):

Play Basics, Evolve (stop at Drakloak if 1 Dragapult ex exists), use search Items.

If a Pokémon was KO'd last turn and you have Unfair Stamp, use it.

If opponent has ≤ 3 Prizes and you have Special Red Card, use it.

If opponent has no Meowth ex and you've used yours, play Team Rocket's Watchtower.

⑥ Attack

If Active Dragapult ex can use "Phantom Dive," use it.

If Benched Dragapult ex is ready, retreat Active.

"Phantom Dive" targeting: Prioritize low HP. If damage exceeds Max HP, move to next lowest.

If "Phantom Dive" unavailable:

Active Dragapult ex → "Jet Head."

Otherwise → Attach Energy, retreat, use Budew's "Tickle Pollen."
