Before writing every sentence, ask yourself:
- What is the reader's current judgment of this character? Do I want to maintain or flip it?
- What is the reader expecting to happen now? Do I want to satisfy or break it?
- What information is the reader currently lacking to feel a physical sensation? How much should I give? Through what channel?
- How high is the reader's emotional tension right now? Do I want to add pressure or release it?
