SuperKumo Pro is the indicator i use to flag entries, pullbacks, and where to take profit on coins i trade like:
$NEAR went 2.3 โ 5
$ENA went 0.14 โ 0.28
here's exactly how i read it, when i act on the signals, and when i ignore them
free indicator link at the end of the article. let's get started ๐
๐น before anything
this is my process, not financial advice
the indicator alone won't make anyone money
no indicator is an edge by itself if you switch your brain off
it doesn't know the narrative, the news, the unlocks, what BTC is doing, or whether anyone actually cares about the coin
it gives me structure, not judgment: where to enter, where i'm wrong, where to take profit
the real edge is the trader every time
quick guide first. indicator only click once you know these:
๐น the ichimoku cloud (kumo)
4 lines matter:
- tenkan (blue) = midpoint of the last 9 candles' high and low. the fast line. in strong trends, price dips here and keeps going
- kijun (red) = midpoint of the last 26 candles' high and low. the trend's "fair value". healthy pullbacks come back here
- span A = average of tenkan and kijun
- span B = midpoint of the last 52 candles' high and low
both spans are plotted 26 candles ahead. the space between them is the cloud
๐ข green cloud = bullish structure
๐ด red cloud = bearish structure
a thick cloud usually acts as stronger support/resistance
a flat cloud often means a range. signals tend to get chopped there
because the cloud is projected 26 periods forward, you can see its projected structure before price reaches it.
a red future cloud is a warning that structure is weakening, not proof the trend reversed
for my system:
- price above the cloud = buyers in control
- inside the cloud = no man's land
- below the daily cloud = i don't take longs
๐น supertrend
a line based on ATR (average candle size), here 10 candles ร 3
in an uptrend it sits below price. when a candle closes through it, the trend flips
it reacts faster than the cloud, so it's my early warning, and it's my trailing stop
the line is hidden by default. the dashed "trail stop" line shows its current level. to see the full line: settings โ show supertrend line
๐น ADX
measures trend strength, not direction
the indicator only allows BUY/SELL when ADX is 20 or higher, or rising
low ADX = chop = no signal
๐น s/r zones
blue = support, orange = resistance
built from swing highs/lows plus levels from the next timeframe up (4H chart pulls daily levels, daily pulls weekly)
nearby levels are merged and the strongest one is shown
a swing only counts once 3 candles confirm it, so new zones appear a few candles late. that's what stops them from repainting
๐น signals
- EARLY BUY = every supertrend flip up. no other filter. earliest, riskiest
- BUY = the first candle where all of these agree: close above the cloud, supertrend up, ADX passing, future cloud green
- Buy More = a BUY within 8 candles of an EARLY BUY. confirms the early signal. if i skipped the early one, this is my confirmed entry
- ADD = in an uptrend, price dips toward the kijun, then closes back above the tenkan. each ADD prints higher than the last entry/ADD, max 3 per trend. if i'm already in, i add. if i'm not in yet, this is where i enter: the trend is confirmed and price just pulled back to its fair value, so my stop is closer than if i chased a green candle
- Risky ADD (faded) = same idea with a shallow dip to the tenkan. needs ADX 20+, room below the next strong resistance, and price not stretched too far above the kijun
- DCA (blue) = price dips below the entry, but supertrend is still up and price bounces off a support that's been tested 2+ times. max 1 per trade
- EARLY SELL / SELL / Sell More = same logic in reverse
signals only appear after a candle closes and never repaint. i act on the next candle, not mid-candle
๐ธ status box
- trend: UP / DOWN
- last signal + price
- stop: trail (current supertrend) / entry (supertrend at the original entry)
- pullback zones: current tenkan and kijun. this is where ADDs happen. if i'm joining mid-trend, i wait for price here
๐น how i use timeframes
- 1D = the rule. direction and entries
- 4H = adds and exits
- 3D = context only
why do i not use the 3D as the rule? 3D cloud lags by weeks
the ENA 0.14 retest happened while price was still inside the red 3D cloud. a strict 3D rule would've kept me out of a +100% move
on the 4H chart, the indicator doesn't check the daily by default. i check it myself (you can also set the higher timeframe filter to daily in settings). this matters, you'll see why below
๐น example 1: $NEAR

NEAR 3D
in june it wicked to $3 and got rejected. the 3D printed EARLY SELL before it dropped to 1.6
a wick is not a breakout. i wait for the close

NEAR 1D
early september the daily printed BUY: above the cloud, supertrend up, ADX passing, future cloud green
price then pulled back toward the kijun and ADD printed at ~2.47. the 3D printed Buy More @ 2.337 around the same time
how this setup plays out with my rules:
- entry: ~2.47 (ADD)
- stop: daily close back under the cloud, ~2.06
i tp'd 50% at ~$5 into resistance (5.43 on 3D, 5.57 on daily)
with a ~2.06 stop, the move from ~2.47 to ~$5 is roughly 6.2R. selling half there banks roughly 3.1R on the whole position
the second half trails the daily stop at 3.82. if that hits, that half still closes ~+55%

NEAR 4H
on the 4H, ADDs printed around 2.3โ2.4 on the way up. that's what i use the 4H for: finding pullback entries inside a daily trend
๐น example 2: $ENA

ENA 3D
ENA spent most of the year under a red 3D cloud. obvious downtrend
in august: EARLY BUY + Buy More from ~0.09
if i miss the first move, i don't chase. i wait for the retest

ENA 1D
the daily printed BUY on the breakout, then price pulled back into the S 0.139 support zone, near the kijun. ADD printed there

ENA 4H
the 4H printed EARLY BUY + Buy More at the same level. daily ADD + 4H confirmation + support = high quality entry
how this setup plays out with my rules:
- entry: ~0.14
- stop: below the support zone, ~0.133
i take 50% at ~0.28 under resistance (0.292)
with a ~0.133 stop, the move from ~0.14 to ~$0.28 is roughly 20R. selling half there banks roughly 10R on the whole position
missing the first move costs nothing. the retest gave a tighter stop and a better trade
๐น where i put my stop
- EARLY BUY โ below the supertrend
- BUY / Buy More โ below the cloud or nearest support
- ADD โ below the kijun or the support it bounced from, then i move it up with the trail
- DCA โ below the support it bounced from
๐ธ how i take profit
i take 50% at resistance
the profit on that half should cover the risk on the rest. that de-risks the trade, as long as the stop fills near its level. gaps and slippage can blow through a stop
the indicator also has an optional TP signal, off by default. it fires when price gets rejected at strong resistance or gets overextended and weakens
at the time of writing (oct 1), both coins show EARLY SELL on the 4H while the daily is still UP. for me that means:
- no new adds
- i keep the trail stop
- if the daily flips, i close the rest
๐น where it fails

NEAR 4H and ENA 4H
early august, on both NEAR and ENA 4H:
EARLY BUY โ BUY โ EARLY SELL โ SELL / Sell More within 1โ2 weeks
taking those signals = flat to a small loss
why:
- the daily was still under a red cloud, and the 4H signals don't check it by default
- the 4H cloud was flat. no trend existed
- EARLY signals fire on every supertrend flip, and in a range many of those flips are noise
- no strong narrative, weak momentum, nothing clearly pushing either coin
now look at ENA right after: the next EARLY BUY on aug 20 worked. that's when the daily broke above its cloud
the indicator did exactly what it's built to do. the market just wasn't trending
that's why i never trade a signal alone
๐น what i check before every trade
- daily: is price above the cloud
- narrative or catalyst: why would anyone buy this now
- BTC and overall sentiment
- fundamentals: unlocks, revenue, upcoming events
- location: am i at support or chasing a green candle
if answer to 3 of these is negative, i pass on the trade
๐ธ my process
- daily: price above a green cloud, BUY or Buy More printed
- i wait for a pullback to the kijun or a support zone. ADD = my entry
- stop below the cloud or support
- i take 50% at the next resistance
- i trail the rest with the supertrend
- 4H EARLY SELL = no new adds. daily flips = i'm out
๐น last 2 questions
- lower timeframes?
works best on 4H and above, even 1H but it gets riskier as you go lower.
- does it win every time?
no. it is not 100% accurate but i combine it with other factors to improve my trading experience
