YouMind Privacy Policy

Effective 11 August 2026

MIND MOTOR PTE. LTD. (also referred to as "YouMind", "we", "our" and "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our websites, mobile applications, browser extensions, and other online services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy describes our processing practices; using the Services does not by itself constitute consent where consent is legally required. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Åland, optional browser technologies remain off until you choose. In the United States and other regions, optional functionality, analytics, and marketing may operate by default where permitted, and you can opt out or customize them at any time. A supported Global Privacy Control signal disables Marketing processing. See our Cookies and Similar Technologies Policy for the regional rules, technologies, data involved, and controls.

We collect information about you when you use the Services, including the following types of information:

  1. Personal information: This is information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
  2. Device information: This is information about the device you use to access the Services, such as the type of device, the operating system, and the device's unique device identifier.
  3. Usage information: This is information about how you use the Services, such as the pages you visit and the actions you take within the Services.
  4. Location information: This is information about your location, such as your IP address or GPS data.

We may also collect information about you from third parties, such as social media platforms or other companies that provide us with data.

Browser Extension Data Collection

The YouMind browser extension ("Extension") provides AI-powered web clipping, YouTube note-taking, and web annotation features. To provide these features, the Extension collects and processes the following data, only in connection with actions you actively take:

  1. Web page content: When you use the Extension to clip a web page, we collect the content of that page (such as text, images, and page metadata) that you choose to save.
  2. YouTube video information: When you use the Extension to take notes on a YouTube video, we collect information about that video (such as its title, URL, transcript, and timestamps) to generate and organize your notes.
  3. Annotations and highlights: When you annotate or highlight content on a web page using the Extension, we collect the annotation or highlight text, its location on the page, and the associated page URL so that it can be saved and displayed back to you.
  4. Account and sync data: We collect the information necessary to associate the content you clip, annotate, or take notes on with your YouMind account and to sync it across your devices.

The Extension does not collect your browsing history, page content, or activity on pages where you do not actively use a clipping, note-taking, or annotation feature. Data is collected only when you invoke the relevant Extension feature.
