TL;DR

This article analyzes a WeChat creator's success, detailing her 'human-like' writing style and her use of the 'Novel Collection' feature to access a new public traffic pool for massive reach.

Recently, I discovered a very powerful account. The author claims to have been writing on WeChat Official Accounts for three years, with just over 10,000 followers and mediocre performance until recently. Lately, she has written over ten 100k+ view articles, with a traffic revenue of 18,554.24 RMB in August and 4,833 RMB already at the start of September. How did she do it? I promised a breakdown once she hit 10k, and I keep my word.

With this question in mind, I went through all 28 of her original articles I could find and analyzed them one by one. I found that this account's success lies in three layers: writing style, structure, and a new traffic entry point that most people haven't noticed yet—each more important than the last.

Who is She

Liang Xiaohe, born in 2000, a girl from rural Shaodong, Hunan. Her real name is Liu Yi, a graduate of Network and New Media from Wuhan College of Arts and Sciences. She failed her postgraduate entrance exam with a score of 200+. She won the National Encouragement Scholarship and once spoke on behalf of impoverished students, the transcript of which she later posted on her account.

Her timeline is noteworthy. She first saw success in her hometown, claiming to have earned 24,000 RMB from her account in the first three months of 2025. In April this year, she moved to Beijing, working as a sales assistant at a Huawei experience store, living in a partitioned room, and writing after work.

In other words, her content changed with her circumstances: from a quiet literary girl in her hometown to a narrative of survival and struggle in Beijing. The persona changed, but the core remained: a normal girl making money through writing.

The Four Pillars of Content and Two Faces

I found her submission guidelines describe her account as a literary media platform accepting three types of submissions: youth literature, inspirational literature, and book reviews, with fees ranging from 20 to 50 RMB per article.

Looking at her recent 28 articles, her content falls into four categories:

Statistically, these articles use two completely different voices. Self-narrative articles average 40+ characters per sentence, connected by commas, with the word "I" appearing 3-5 times every 100 words. Book reviews have sentences around 30 characters, with half the density of "I," using fixed templates for intros and outros. Literature is the facade, while the struggle for survival is the core. The facade retains old fans, while the core feeds the algorithm.

Writing Style Breakdown

Analyzing her article that earned 18,554.24 RMB: 1,970 words, 31 paragraphs, averaging 63.5 words per paragraph. The longest paragraph is 108 words. There are 46 periods, 131 commas, and zero question marks, exclamation points, or dashes.

This data reveals three things. Paragraphs are extremely short, making them easy to read on mobile. Sentences are very long, connected by commas, creating a natural "human" conversational flow rather than a rigid AI format. Emotions are extremely restrained; even for a growth story spanning a decade, not a single exclamation point is used. The flat narrative lets the story itself attract the audience.

Additionally, she exposes herself thoroughly in every post. Bad grades in elementary school, poor comprehension, failing exams, being scammed by agencies. Every article has at least one section that makes readers think, "She actually dared to write that?" This self-exposure creates a "trust anchor" by showing she is an ordinary person who achieved unexpected results.

Article Structure Formula

Fixed Structure Template

Using her article "WeChat Monthly Income 18,554.24, I Want to Tell the Truth" as an example: The first sentence drops a precise number (18,554.24) and converts it into a life anchor (a year's rent in Beijing). Then she lowers the reader's guard: "I have nothing to teach." Next, she gives a simple answer: "The secret is just reading more." Then she spends a third of the article on a chronological "dark history"—the worse the starting point, the better. She inserts a specific turning point, followed by another reversal (failing the exam) to prove it's not a fairy tale. Finally, she returns to the current results and ends with a short moral under 20 characters.

Title Formula

Opening Three-Sentence Template

Sentence 1: Result Number + Life Conversion → "Last month my WeChat ad revenue was , which can pay for ."

Sentence 2: Time Comparison or Expectation Contrast → "This is my most ** month since I started writing on WeChat."

Sentence 3: Introduce Conflict → "Many people ask, but to be honest, ."

New Traffic Pool: Posting in WeChat Novels

This is the part I initially overlooked. Her articles aren't just standard posts; they are linked to "Novel Collections" (小说合集).

Last November, WeChat beta-tested a feature called Novel Collection Certification. If you certify a collection as a novel, the content syncs to the official Novel Mini-program with a dedicated reader, bookshelves, and progress tracking. The key is the entry point. Once certified, works enter the Novel Mini-program recommendations, Search, and Video Account links. Readers from these sources don't need to be your followers.

This is essentially a second public traffic pool outside the standard WeChat recommendation feed. Her first-person narratives about rural life and Beijing struggles fit the "real-life story" genre perfectly. She doesn't even write fiction; she just frames her life as a serialized story.

The rules are clear: with Novel Collection certification, you can enable traffic revenue with 0 followers (standard posts require 100). Ad revenue sharing is 70-100% for the author during the incentive period, which lasts until December 31, 2026.

Her Ceiling is a Mirror

This account has issues. She mentioned hitting a bottleneck after reaching 10k followers. Her only income is traffic revenue. Readers consume her "struggle"; once she actually makes money and the struggle disappears, the story runs out of steam. Without a backend product, even ten 100k+ articles only yield 18k RMB in ad fees. That is the ceiling.

Conclusion

  1. Style and structure can be learned. In the AI era, human-sounding articles are more valuable than ever.
  2. The Novel Collection entry point is a must-see. It's a new table with many empty seats.
  3. The window is open until the end of the year. Don't just watch.

I've started a WeChat group (199 RMB entry) where you get:

1) ima Knowledge Base (updated regularly)

2) 1 Explainer Video

3) Q&A and Reviews
