Description

A striking grating-style prompt series. When familiar things are compressed into black-and-white lines with a touch of color, they seem to suddenly develop a gravitational field of their own. I tried adding mathematical geometry, and everything familiar instantly felt much more refined. I add thousands of lines to a photo, then make them glow softly. The lines flow, converge, and sink along the contours of the subject.

S.024 Starryear Photo Doodle

[Featured] Starryear Photography Skill Collection Turn an ordinary photo into a top-and-bottom composition that combines the documentary feel of the original image with the playful charm of a child’s doodles: the original image is fully preserved above, while the same photographic scene below is layered with crooked little sketches inspired by the photo’s subject, scribbled circles, crossed lines, overdrawn strokes, and localized blobs of ink—like a child casually testing a paintbrush. The person’s pose, spatial structure, and scene remain recognizable, while the lines retain the uneven proportions, repeated corrections, and irregular density of a hand-drawn style. Whether the source is a black-and-white or color photo, it preserves the original tones and photographic foundation instead of turning the entire image into an illustration. It also avoids adding unrelated stickers, text, or decorations. Use it to create childlike photo doodles, original-image collages with loose lines, thematic hand-drawn annotations, and experimental visuals for social sharing—especially when you want to preserve a realistic photo while adding a spontaneous, awkward, and thematically connected artistic line effect.

【S.022】Starryear · Photo

【Featured】Starryear featured photography Skill Extend a real photo into a 2:3 vertical “photo × line art” narrative poster: preserve the subject, lighting, colors, and spatial cues in the photo, while allowing one real form to naturally cross the middle of the frame and develop into a uniquely functional line-art world on warm white paper. The photo and hand-drawn section are not simply spliced together; continuous contours, materials, and shadows create a visual extension that can be entered, walked through, or activated. The lower section centers on the main transformation, adding a few thematic details drawn from the original photo and placing a small faceless figure rendered in pen lines within it. The figure has a clear action relationship with the line-art scene, strengthening the sense of scale and narrative. Depending on the photo’s atmosphere, subtle star-like points or glimmers may be carefully incorporated, but no fixed starry-sky, flower, or architectural template is applied. Brief handwritten English annotations add a light editorial touch. Ideal for scene-extending line-art posters, photo-and-illustration fusion posters, photographic art narrative posters, and visual works that bring a touch of fantasy to real scenes. The goal is to keep the photo believable, make the line-art world bold enough, and maintain a clear central focus and coherent material transitions both at thumbnail size and up close.

S.027 Starryear Spirit Photos

Extend a photo into a narrative paper-based surreal line-art artwork: preserve the realistic texture and recognizability of the photographic subject, while allowing the natural forms at its edges to continue growing as delicate hand-drawn lines, transforming into a strange visual event born from the original scene. Suitable for photographic subjects with distinctive shapes and textures, such as flowers, plants, stones, water, and clouds, creating connected 2:3 portrait art images that blend photography and line drawing. The image adds 8–12 original non-human nature spirits derived from the source material around the photo. Their soft glow, slightly asymmetrical silhouettes, and lively small gestures bring warmth, curiosity, and quirky charm. They are distributed at varied intervals, taking part in the main surreal scene while preserving an open, asymmetrical composition with generous negative space, so they do not overpower the subject. The overall style uses warm neutral paper, fine pen lines, restrained shadows, and a small amount of color echoed from the photo. It is suited to photography-based art, paper fantasy illustrations, and handcrafted-looking visual pieces. The image will not be turned into an ordinary filter, a top-and-bottom split layout, a miniature crowd portrait, or a decorative collage unrelated to the photo.
