The most important thing in business is to accurately grasp what customers want and provide it to them. If you just keep this in mind, business will automatically flourish, so business is actually very simple.
I might get scolded for this, but I (Kikakugai) truly wonder from the bottom of my heart, "Why is everyone so bad at making money?"
You simply present exactly what the customer is wishing for in their heart, saying, "This is what you wanted, right?" with a smile.
Then they say, "Yes, yes, this is exactly what I wanted," and they buy it. If you understand the essence of business, there is no activity simpler than this.
Things get complicated because people try to sell things that aren't even wanted using smooth talk, rebuttal techniques, or cheap tricks. This leads to complaints and refund issues.
If you are guiding people toward something they desperately need, no matter how poor a speaker you are, you will be asked, "Could you please sell this to me?"
The ultimate image is a world where you call out to someone lost in the desert and dehydrated, "I have water, do you want some?"
With just that one sentence, no matter what price you set, "it sells without you having to sell it."
The following is just one example, but for instance, if I (Kikakugai) offer
"I want to start a business but absolutely don't want to fail"
"I want to start a high-margin business with small capital"
"I want to use SNS to generate large profits with minimal effort"
to those in a state of hunger who have such desperate desires, and I present "content (individual consulting) as hygienic water" that accurately meets those needs, it will sell on its own.
It's an extremely obvious story. All that's left is to replace this structure with your own business.
However, in reality, I frequently encounter people who ignore the customer's needs and act according to their own desires.
"I want to sell at a high price."
"I want to do a business that doesn't require much hands-on work."
Everyone thinks that way.
But what's important is to think about why the customer would be happy to purchase even at that unit price or for that product, and then implement value by working backward from there.
A fatal habit common to people running unprofitable businesses is that they think about everything centered on themselves.
Because they repeat the same pattern of failure without noticing this habit, work becomes a drudgery, and living hand-to-mouth becomes the norm. It's not caused by a lack of knowledge or methods.
Therefore, the top priority to establish is, no matter what, the "thinking habit that produces results" known as customer-first principles.
As long as you stick to that, the necessary knowledge and methods will follow later anyway.
