YouMind Update: New Layout, New Extension, and Support for Nano Banana Pro

Hello friends,

It has been another busy week. Over the past couple of weeks we have really felt your energy and feedback, so we have been speeding up our iteration pace and turning more ideas into things you can actually use. This week we shipped quite a few updates, and here are some changes you will be able to feel directly.

New extension is live

After a year, our browser extension has been updated to version 0.3. Thank you for all your support along the way. With your help, we have passed 10,000 users in the Chrome Web Store while keeping a 4.9 rating.

In this release we gave the core framework a complete overhaul so the extension can do a better job in two things: helping you read, and helping you save what matters into YouMind. The entire interface has been redesigned from the ground up. Compared with before, it is cleaner, more modern, and closer to the current look and feel of YouMind. You can also use the core SaaS features directly inside the extension, including Chat, Pick, and AI translation, so you can read, think, and archive content into YouMind in one continuous flow while you browse.

Most importantly, the extension itself is still completely free. If you are looking for a free and powerful assistant that lives in your browser and helps you read, organize, and keep what you find, we would love for you to try this new version.

New layout and Chat

When you open YouMind and enter a Board now, you will notice another round of visible changes in the interface.

The main direction this time is to make the information area and the creation area more focused. When you are managing material, you will see a space that is designed to help you work through your sources. When you are creating, the interface shifts its attention to how your ideas are presented, so it is easier to stay in a creative mindset.

In different situations, we will gradually surface the abilities that make the most sense for that moment. At the same time, future versions will keep strengthening the links between these two spaces, so the journey from “input” to “output” feels smoother and ideas can move more naturally toward finished work.

Another important change is that we have brought Chat to the forefront. You can now start a conversation with AI even in an empty Board with no materials and no Crafts. From there, you can ask AI to help you structure the space, fill in content, and even perform a series of actions on the Board. Our hope is that this makes it much easier to get started, so that simply talking to AI is enough to kick off rounds of thinking and creation together.

Another upgrade for Audio Pod

We launched Audio Pod this month, and it has been great to see many people already using it to make their own content. At the same time, the first version also revealed some clear issues, so we have done a focused round of improvements based on the original design.

You can now create “episode” within the same Pod, which makes it much easier to grow one topic into a full series. We have also adjusted the generation settings so you can choose between a single narrator or a two person dialogue, and we have added more flexible options for length, so each episode can match the rhythm you have in mind.

Right now, you only need to open Audio Pod, choose the material and the way you want to present it, and you can produce a complete set of podcast content with much less effort. If you like, you can then share it outward so more listeners can discover your work sooner.

Support for Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro

This week Google rolled out major updates to its models, and YouMind has followed closely by bringing Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro directly into our system.

To make it easier to feel what the new models can do, we have also updated the Chatbox experience. From a single entry point, you can now switch more smoothly between image generation and AI writing, and in any context you can choose the model that best fits what you are trying to do.

We are also offering Nano Banana Pro as a limited one week free trial. If you are curious about what the new generation of image models in the Google ecosystem can achieve, this is a good moment to come into YouMind and try it for yourself.
