YouMind Update: Pick, Listen, and Multilingual Support

Hello friends,

We've been really encouraged by the positive feedback on YouMind 0.5. So we jumped right in and worked on many of the suggestions and details you mentioned. Here are some changes you can experience right away.

Frame by Frame Picks for YouTube and Podcasts

YouMind Picks helps you quickly save text and images while reading materials. With this update, we've extended Picks to video and audio.

When you're watching a YouTube video or listening to a podcast, clicking Picks will automatically save the transcript snippet and screenshot at that exact moment. This means you can capture key moments precisely, review them anytime, and even add your own notes. It makes learning from videos and audio much smoother.

3-Minute Summaries for Video and Audio

How do you quickly grasp the main points from an hour-long video or podcast?

We've added video and audio support to Listen. You can generate a 3 minute summary or conversational audio with one click to quickly grasp the essentials. You can also add full videos or audio to your Listen playlist and digest the content on your own time.

To make generating content easier, we redesigned the Listen interface. You'll see a prominent generate button when you open it, and clicking it shows detailed options.

Multi-language Support Is Here

After the 0.5 update, we noticed many users needed support for languages beyond English, so we quickly added multilingual support.

We now offer 16 languages. You can choose your preferred language in settings. We also improved the language settings structure. There are now two separate options: interface language and AI response language. You can adjust each based on your needs.

That said, multi-language support is an ongoing effort. We're still working on improving the translations to make them more accurate. If you spot any translation issues, please let us know. We'll gladly make improvements.
