Choose up to 20 images for a carousel preview. The selected shape applies to every image; framing is saved separately for each one.

The artwork is first fitted to your working canvas. Changing the placement crops that same canvas; your original file stays unchanged.

Instagram post & carousel size

Instagram supports photos from 1.91:1 to 3:4. At 1080 px wide, a 3:4 post is 1080 × 1440. A carousel uses one orientation for all its items. Choose a shape, then compare the same artwork in the feed and the profile grid.

Instagram size questions, answered

Should an Instagram post be 3:4 or 4:5?
Both shapes fit the photo range in Instagram’s current help. At 1080 px wide, 3:4 is 1080 × 1440 and 4:5 is 1080 × 1350. The app and a third-party publishing tool may support different choices, so check the workflow you use.
Can carousel slides have different sizes?
Instagram’s carousel help says the chosen orientation applies to all items. Plan one shape for the set. This preview lets you upload multiple images and adjust each image’s framing while keeping that shared canvas.
Why do the Reels video and cover sizes differ?
A video export, a cover image and a profile-grid thumbnail serve different placements. Instagram Help lists 420 × 654 for the cover; 1080 × 1920 is a common full-screen working canvas. Use the preview to compare them rather than treating one number as every requirement.
Why does my image look cropped on my profile?
A profile thumbnail can use a different shape from the feed image. Our grid view simulates a centered 3:4 crop. Instagram can offer thumbnail adjustments and change layouts, so check the actual profile before publishing.
Does this tool resize or publish my image?
No. It previews the artwork locally in your browser. Your original file stays unchanged. Before uploading to Instagram, check the actual downloaded file’s dimensions and quality; an image prompt or model quality label does not guarantee an exact pixel size.
