The first episode of the Sunday 10 PM drama "#MouPapa!" (ABC TV / TV Asahi network, every Sunday at 22:15) is now streaming on #TVer. We interviewed cast members #HaraNana, #IwaseHiroshi, and #ShiozakiTaichi about highlights from the first episode and behind-the-scenes stories.
Behind a close-knit family's video channel lies twisted parental love!? A father obsessed with "family love" sells snippets of their "happy daily life" to boost views... The daughter, who became an internet meme, fights for her own life! This completely original Reiwa-era human family drama depicts realistic conflicts and regeneration between parent and child that can't be resolved with platitudes. Hara plays Tarayama Noriko, a college freshman who also works as a content creator; Iwase plays Yoshira Hinata, Noriko's first love; and Shiozaki plays Sasaki Toshiya, Noriko's best friend and fellow content creator.

-- Please tell us what makes you want to say "Oh, come on!" about your respective characters.
Hara: For me, it's "Noriko, you forgive him too much!" It's softened by the charm and humor of Tsutsumi Shinichi (#TsutsumiShinichi), who plays Dad (Tarayama Ryosuke), but Noriko has been treated terribly enough to warrant cutting ties. However, because Dad apologizes properly, she thinks, "Let's try trusting him one more time." Giving him chances repeatedly pushes Noriko further into a corner. I hope everyone watches how she grows from here.
Iwase: My character, Hinata, is a bit roundabout. Since I'm someone who communicates straight, I think, "Hinata, just say it clearly!"
Shiozaki: For me, it's "Toshiya, you're too nice!" He suppresses his own feelings when interacting with others, so sometimes I think "oh, come on," but he's a character Noriko can open up to, which I find wonderful.
Hara Nana
-- What are your impressions of each other?
Iwase: This is my second time working with Hara-san, but our first time having substantial scenes together. She's the same age as me, yet incredibly mature; I learned a lot through filming. But when taking photos, she acts like we don't get along. While I'm going "Yay!", she looks dead serious.
Hara: They say enemies are the closest friends (laughs).
Iwase: So that was the direction (laughs). Publicly, she has an image of being cute with a lovely smile, but beyond that, she has high entertainment skills and is really funny. Being from Kansai, I feel DNA-driven to make everything interesting, but even though Hara-san is Tokyo-born and raised, she keeps up with me, which surprised me.
Shiozaki: Hara-san is bright, innocent, and has many charming qualities. Among them, her seriousness and professional attitude made me think, "She's so adult."
Iwase Hiroshi
-- Next, what are your impressions of Iwase-san?
Hara: At first, I thought he might be cool and distant, but from the moment we met on day one, he was bright, funny, and talked to me a lot. Even as someone shy, I warmed up quickly. Thanks to Iwase-san, I came to set happy every day.
Shiozaki: Before meeting him, I imagined someone cool and self-possessed. But in person, he has humor, the ability to entertain those around him, and many lovable traits. In the future, I'd like to work with him not just in acting, but in variety shows too.
Shiozaki Taichi
-- What are your impressions of Shiozaki-san?
Hara: Before meeting him, I saw Shiozaki-san dancing energetically on SNS, so I had an image of him being bright and lively. In person, he was the mood-maker on set, and I felt his thoughtfulness in observing those around him. Especially memorable was when locals approached us during location shooting. Seeing Shiozaki-san chatting happily with them, I realized he is humble and polite to everyone, truly wonderful.
Iwase: He has a beautiful smile that must have saved many people. When neighborhood kids came to play during filming, Shiozaki-kun greeted them with a smile saying, "Thanks always." Seeing that, I thought, "No wonder he's loved by so many," and learned from it.
Hara Nana
-- (Laughs). Episode 1 is currently streaming on TVer. Which scenes do you want viewers to focus on or rewatch?
Hara: My scenes with Tsutsumi-san stand out. At the end of Episode 1, Noriko finally confronts her dad with her feelings. Because Tsutsumi-san's performance is so entertaining, it actually amplifies the dad's madness. It's so unpredictable that you'll feel a new kind of chill, so please watch to see how it unfolds.
Shiozaki: Toshiya is simply very kind to Noriko. While they call themselves best friends, whether it's pure friendship or something else will develop later, so please look forward to it.
Iwase: Probably the scene where I meet Noriko-chan. I think it turned out pretty well, so please watch it.

-- What did you mean by "turned out well"?
Iwase: My angle looked good (laughs).
Hara & Shiozaki: That's important (laughs).
