TL;DR

GOAT Network's June newsletter highlights the launch of an agent-driven gift card platform, new AI builder grants for verification and payments, and expanded cross-chain support for the agent economy.

Not every part of the agent economy is solved. There is still a lot of work to do. That is exactly why 2026 has been so busy at GOAT Network - and June was no exception.

We launched a live gift card platform where an agent can take a user request through payment and fulfilment. We announced the first GOAT AI Builder Grants projects, covering two critical parts of the agent stack: verification before execution and Bitcoin-backed payments. We opened the Developer Advocate Program, helped launch the OpenClaw Summer Builder Bootcamp, expanded x402 support to Berachain, and published a deep, honest view of what agent infrastructure still needs.

Gift Cards on GOAT Network: Agent Payments Meet Everyday Spending

To start the month off, we launched the GOAT Gift Card Platform.

Users can now buy gift cards with USDT and USDC from major merchants in the US and Canada, including Airbnb, Amazon, Apple, DoorDash, Starbucks, Uber, Uber Eats, and Walmart.

But as GOAT Network CEO Kevin Liu pointed out, the gift cards are not necessarily the main point.

@kevinliu highlights the deeper implication behind GOAT Gift Cards

The main point is the payment flow.

A user can request a gift card, the agent can check available options, prepare the order, handle the payment through x402 via GOAT AgentKit, track fulfilment, and return the result. Snaplii provides the merchant fulfilment infrastructure, while GOAT provides the agent payment layer.

That is a small consumer product on the surface, but it proves something much larger: agents can connect crypto payments to real-world utility without the user manually stitching the process together.

The first teams in the GOAT AI Builder Grants Program

We announced the first project in our grants program: ThoughtProof.

ThoughtProof is building verification infrastructure for autonomous AI. Its Sentinel API sits inside the agent loop and checks whether an agent’s intended action is faithful to the instruction, supported by evidence, and logically sound before execution.

This is a potentially huge category.

If agents are going to make payments, interact with APIs, manage assets, and act on behalf of users, then they need verification before action. The cost of failure rises sharply once an agent can execute economically meaningful tasks.

What is ThoughtProof?

We also hosted an AMA with ThoughtProof founder Raul Jaeger, where GOAT CMO Ben Wynn discussed agent verification, reasoning checks, and why safer execution layers are necessary for autonomous systems: https://x.com/GOATNetwork/status/2071624811693113417?s=20

Later in June, we announced the second project in the program: HyperMove.

HyperMove is building Bitcoin-backed payments for AI agents. The product allows agents to pay for APIs using BTC as collateral, without directly handling a private key.

Over 80 projects have now applied, with new applications still coming in.

Developer Advocate Program Launches

June also witnessed the launch of the GOAT Network Developer Advocate Program.

The program is for developer community leaders who can help bring builders into the GOAT ecosystem and drive AgentKit adoption.

Selected advocates receive monthly USDT, onboarding resources, a private channel with the GOAT team, and a path to connect promising builders with the GOAT AI Builder Grants Program.

Developers, developers, developers...

If AgentKit, x402, ERC-8004, and GOAT’s agent infrastructure are going to reach the right builders, we need people who can explain the stack, run workshops, support local communities, and help teams move from interest to implementation.

If this sounds like it’s up your street, then don’t hesitate to apply.

OpenClaw Summer Builder Bootcamp 2026

GOAT Network is co-organizing the OpenClaw Summer Builder Bootcamp 2026 alongside Metis, ClawUp, LazAI, CryptoChicks, and MindFuel.

The bootcamp is for teams building with OpenClaw and Hermes agents, with support across infrastructure, tooling, mentorship, and distribution.

91 teams applied. Only 12 could join this cohort.

GOAT CEO Kevin Liu presented a demo of AgentKit during the bootcamp opening ceremony

Over the next 8 weeks, these teams will receive hands-on support to develop real agent-based products alongside teams across the ecosystem. Qualifying teams may also be considered for Stage 2 of the GOAT AI Builder Grants Program, with up to $1M in funding available.

For builders, this is a practical route into the ecosystem: learn the stack, ship a working agent product, and get closer to the teams that can support technical execution, distribution, and growth.

If you missed out this time, don’t fret. More opportunities will open up in the future. Take any feedback seriously - and keep building.

A Truthful View of Agent Infrastructure

We published A Truthful View of the Current State of Agent Infrastructure.

Read the report:A Truthful View of the Current State of Agent Infrastructure

The market has no shortage of claims. Agents are often described as if they are already fully autonomous economic actors. In practice, the infrastructure is still being assembled across payment rails, identity, verification, coordination, and settlement.

Some of the pieces are working. Some are early. Some are still missing.

That is the honest state of the category.

GOAT Network - inline image

The latest piece from GOAT Research is backed by credible data.

The report argues that the real agent economy will require more than model quality. Agents need economic interfaces. They need ways to pay and get paid. They need identity. They need verification. They need settlement. They need coordination layers that let them interact with users, services, APIs, and other agents without every workflow becoming a custom integration.

Around the same time, GOAT Network CMO Ben Wynn published a related piece on why agent commerce should settle on Bitcoin.

Read:Why agent commerce should settle on Bitcoin

The core argument: once agents begin handling value at scale, settlement becomes part of the product’s trust model.

Payments can move across many rails. Final settlement is where the security question becomes unavoidable.

GOAT x Berachain Is Live

GOAT Network added Berachain support for x402 payments.

This means that any app, agent, API, marketplace, or service using x402 on GOAT Network can now include Berachain as a supported payment network.

GOAT x Berachain

This matters because agent products should not be trapped inside one chain, one wallet environment, or one isolated pool of liquidity. If agents are going to operate across the open economy, their payment rails need to be portable across the ecosystems where users and builders already are.

With Berachain integrated, GOAT Network now supports x402 payments across Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, and Berachain.

New FAQ Page

We launched a new FAQ page for users who are still getting oriented.

ZKM Research: Verifiable AI Computation

GOAT Network’s ZK R&D branch released two new research pieces:

[**Verifiable Reflexivity

](https://www.zkm.io/blog/verifiable-reflexivity)[ Proof of Inference**](https://www.zkm.io/blog/proof-of-inference

As we build the Bitcoin-secured stack for the agent economy, ZKM continues working on the zero-knowledge research needed to make AI computation verifiable.

This work sits deeper in the stack, but it points toward the same long-term requirement: if agents are going to act autonomously, more of their computation will need to become verifiable.

Looking Ahead

The GOAT direction is becoming ever clearer.

The agent economy will not emerge from one feature, one chain, one hackathon, or one product demo. It needs a full stack. This is what we have been focused on throughout Q2, and we’ll continue that momentum into Q3.

More builders. More agent products. More payment flows. More verification. More infrastructure for agents that can operate inside the open economy.

Thank you for being an essential part of the journey.

The GOAT Team.
