My Side of the Story
I’m going to keep this as straightforward as possible.
I already know that probably 40–50% of the people reading this won’t believe what I’m about to say. And honestly, that’s completely fair. You have every right to question me, criticize me, or decide for yourself whether you believe my side of the story.
I’m not writing this to beg anyone to trust me.
I’m not asking for sympathy either.
I simply want to explain what happened, acknowledge where I made mistakes, apologize to the people I disappointed, and tell you what I plan to do next.
First, I Owe People an Apology
Before anything else, I want to say that I am sorry to anyone who supported me and later felt disappointed.
I know there are people especially in parts of the Nigerian community who are angry with me. I’ve seen the comments:
**“Scam.”
“Scammer.”
“Another scam.”**
I understand the anger, but I also want to ask one genuine question:
What exactly did I scam?
I’m not saying that sarcastically. If you believe I scammed you, tell me exactly what I did.
Because from my side, I delivered the artwork. I spent my time building and managing the community. I worked on the projects publicly, and I didn’t disappear immediately after launching something.
And yes, I know not everyone from one community is the same. Five fingers are never equal. There are good people and bad people everywhere, so this is not an attack on Nigerians as a whole.
But when I constantly see the word “scam,” I think it’s fair for me to ask people to explain what they actually mean by it.
If you believe I personally dumped a collection, destroyed the floor, or extracted liquidity from holders, then check my wallets and show me.
I’m willing to take responsibility for my mistakes.
But criticism should also be based on what actually happened.
Where I Went Wrong
I’m an artist and a builder.
My job has always been to create, experiment, launch things, and keep building. Whether someone buys my work or not is ultimately their decision.
But that doesn’t mean I handled everything perfectly.
I made mistakes.
There were moments where I should have communicated better. There were things happening in my personal business life that affected my ability to focus properly on what I was building online.
That is my responsibility.
And for that, I apologize.
I spent a lot of time creating the artwork and running these communities. The artwork itself represented hours and hours of my work.
When I earned money from my work, I had a plan for it.
I wanted to use that money to start a real-world business.
And that is where everything went wrong.
What Happened to Me
I had plans to enter the clothing business and open my first franchise/store.
I found a shop through a broker.
I trusted him.
I paid money for the property and started preparing for what I thought would become the next chapter of my life.
Then I discovered something was seriously wrong.
The shop/property I had been given had possession/legal issues attached to it. The documents I had been shown were not what I believed them to be.
When I eventually went to the relevant government office to verify everything properly, I realized that I had been deceived.
The money had already been paid.
I was stuck.
And suddenly I had problems coming from every direction.
I’m not telling you this because I expect everyone to believe me immediately. I understand how the internet works. Anyone can write a story.
Believe it or don’t believe it.
That choice is yours.
But this is what happened from my side.
And during that period, I became extremely frustrated because I didn’t know what to do anymore.
I wanted to continue building. I wanted to take everything further. I had bigger plans for my projects and communities.
But mentally and financially, I found myself stuck between my online work and a serious real-world problem.
Ask yourself one thing:
If you were in my position, what would you have done?
About the Money
There is another thing I want to make clear.
I never wanted to create fake FOMO just to extract money from people.
Some things succeeded naturally because I worked for them.
I created the artwork.
I spent the time.
I built the communities.
I marketed the projects.
So yes, I earned money from the work I did.
I don’t believe being paid for your time, artwork, and effort automatically makes you a scammer.
At the same time, if I failed somewhere, communicated badly, or made people feel abandoned, then I accept responsibility for that.
There is a difference between defending yourself and pretending you never made mistakes.
I made mistakes.
And I’m sorry for them.
I also made a promise that if something reached a point where it completely failed and a refund was genuinely owed under what I had promised, I would take responsibility for that commitment.
I’m not trying to run away from my words.
What Happens Next
I’m still building.
And I’m not going to stop because people call me names.
The next collection I’m working on will not be free.
Existing holders and eligible users from the form will be part of the eligibility structure.
I’ll share the final supply, eligibility rules, mint price, and other details separately when everything is ready.
The price will not be something crazy.
I’m not trying to charge people $20–$25 just because I can.
I want a reasonable price that respects the work, time, and artwork I’ve put into it.
And I’ve put serious effort into the art this time.
But the bigger idea goes beyond another NFT collection.
The Bigger Vision
One of the things I want to build is a platform where value generated through royalties/fees can be used to create rewards connected to real-world financial assets.
The idea I’m exploring is a system where users could potentially receive rewards tied to assets such as Tesla, Microsoft, and other stocks, depending on the final legal and technical structure.
I’m still working through how this should actually be implemented, and I don’t want to make promises before I know exactly what can legally and technically be delivered.
That is something I learned from everything that happened:
Don’t promise first and figure it out later. Build it, verify it, and then announce it.
That is how I want to move forward.
I’m Not Asking You to Trust Me Blindly
You don’t have to believe this article.
You don’t have to mint my next collection.
You don’t have to support me.
And you definitely shouldn’t buy something simply because I tell you to.
Watch what I build.
Check the wallets.
Check the contracts.
Check what I deliver.
Then make your own decision.
If you still believe I’m a scammer after looking at everything, that is your opinion. I can’t control what everyone on the internet thinks about me.
What I can control is what I do next.
I Will Keep Building
I’ve made mistakes.
I got caught in a situation outside of Web3 that affected me more than I expected.
I should have communicated better.
And some people were hurt or disappointed because of it.
For that, I genuinely apologize.
If my actions disappointed you, I’m sorry.
But I’m not disappearing.
I will never stop building.
I’ll build today.
I’ll build tomorrow.
And I’ll keep building for as long as I can.
People can judge me based on rumors, comments, or old mistakes.
I would rather be judged by what I actually build and deliver from this point forward.
I’m not asking you to forget anything.
I’m asking you to watch what happens next.
Actions will speak louder than anything I can write here.
