I posted a diagram comparing the Heisei and Reiwa eras, and in just one week, my follower count increased by 25,000.
It didn't take hours of work; it took 10 minutes of image creation.
Nice to meet you, I'm Gin.
I post about money, and my main account has over 430,000 followers.
I've been running an online salon with over 450 members for about 5 years, and the total follower count of our members has reached 6 million, making it one of the top X (Twitter) strategy salons in Japan.
In 4 years, I've produced 20 people with 100,000 followers and 268 people with 10,000 followers.
I thought I knew everything about how to grow on X from my own verification results and information from members, but...
I'll give you the results straight.
The post took about 10 minutes to create. In just one week, followers increased by +25,000.
What I did wasn't staying glued to X for hours every day or making dozens of posts.
What I did was:
Create and post a single diagram comparing "Heisei and Reiwa."
◇ What is the Heisei vs. Reiwa comparison diagram?

Basically, that's it.
And it's not just me.
In my community, in just two weeks:
98 accounts gained over 1,000 followers from a single post.
8 accounts gained over 10,000 followers from a single post.
These are the results we're seeing.
◇ Gin's results

◇ Excerpts from salon members' daily growth

Today, I will specifically explain:
- Why "Heisei vs. Reiwa" goes viral
- How to create images in 10 minutes
- How to create images that increase followers
- How to horizontally expand successful formats
Furthermore, I have prepared a 20-minute video that explains things I couldn't fully express in this text, including AI prompts for creating diagrams.

Why "Heisei vs. Reiwa" Goes Viral
What I keep in mind is:
"Heisei vs. Reiwa Comparison" x "Social Satire" x "Relatability" x "Negative"
On X, it's often said that "utility" and "empathy" increase followers, but this comparison diagram
Explosively increases followers by prioritizing empathy.
For example, instead of saying:
"Life has become more convenient than before,"
it's more effective to say:
"Salaries haven't increased much, but taxes, social insurance, and prices have gone up."
This is because people think:
"This is about me."
When I think of ideas for Heisei vs. Reiwa comparison diagrams, I don't focus on "Is it useful?" but rather:
"Will people who see this want to tell someone else?"
How Much Did It Actually Increase?
In my Heisei vs. Reiwa diagrams:
730k impressions → +3,390 followers
1.35M impressions → +8,200 followers
In another post:
1.67M impressions → +10,200 followers.
The important thing here is:
Don't just look at the number of "Likes."

In one post, for 1.68 million impressions,
Engagements were about 300,000.
In other words, about 300,000 people took some kind of action.
Most of that was image clicks; I analyze that
about 290,000 people clicked the image.
By prompting about 300,000 people to take action (click the image), and having 3-4% of them follow as a result, I was able to gain 10,000 followers with just one post.

What I'm aiming for is not an image that gets liked, but an image that gets clicked.
Two Points to Increase Image Clicks
I focus on:
1. Theme Selection
2. Image Presentation
First, the theme.
When comparing Heisei and Reiwa, I choose things that make people think, "That's exactly how it was!"
For example:
Money, Cars, Designer Bags, Sneakers, Credit Cards, Smartphone Apps, Work Styles, Travel, Fashion, etc.
And instead of a simple comparison, I include social satire like, "It was supposed to be more convenient, but hasn't life become harder?"
This is the key point.
Images are "Intentionally Not Fully Readable"
I do not create images that can be understood in an instant on the timeline.
Rather, I make the text explaining the details a bit smaller.
This is to make people enlarge the image.
What I want to avoid is an image where the content can be understood without enlarging it.
The title is readable. The people are visible. Big numbers are clear.
But the fine details cannot be read without enlarging.
I aim for this state.

Image to Text Ratio is "8:2"
Another thing I keep in mind is:
Image : Text = 8 : 2 or 7 : 3.
Make the visuals that convey meaning instantly—like people or products—large. Then place explanations around them.
The image is to stop them, and the text is to make them stay.

Creating Images in 10 Minutes with AI
Image creation becomes much faster if you use AI.
My workflow is:
- Show a successful image to the AI
- Keep the format
- Change only the theme
- Adjust so it's not a total copy
For example, if "Heisei vs. Reiwa Family Cars" goes viral, next I change it to "Designer Bags."
In fact, this horizontal expansion resulted in +2,000 followers.
The Most Important Thing is "One Variable"
Once I have a post that goes viral, I don't change the format.
I change basically only one thing.
I change the theme, but I keep:
Heisei vs. Reiwa, Left-Right Comparison, "7 Selections," Person Placement, Small Explanations, Summary at the bottom, etc.
The reason is simple. If you change the format, you won't know what the factor for growth was.
Rather than creating from scratch every time, I just swap the theme of a successful template. That's the feeling.
Don't Slack on the Text
Even if the image is strong, if the body text is weak, it won't grow.
I make sure the text is a single sentence that makes people want to see the image.
For example, instead of "I summarized the designer bag situation in Heisei and Reiwa,"
I make it like: "It changed in just 10 years. Designer bags are becoming increasingly out of reach for ordinary people."
The role of the body text is not to explain the image, but to make them open the image.
Give a Little Push After Posting
I believe that "buzz has a boiling point."
On my account, I have a hypothesis that if a post exceeds 5,000 engagements in 8 hours, the probability of it going viral increases significantly.
So, for posts that look like they might grow, I give them a push by:
- Replying early
- Reposting
- Quote reposting
- Making it a pinned post
Instead of trying to force a non-growing post to grow, the idea is to give a final push to a post that is already starting to grow.
Summary
What I did to increase followers by +25,000 in a week is quite simple:
- Compare Heisei vs. Reiwa
- Include empathy and social satire
- Create images that make people want to click
- Make the text a bit small
- Image to text ratio is 8:2
- Create in about 10 minutes with AI
- Don't break the successful format
- Change only one variable
- Push posts that are likely to grow
That's it.
The great thing about AI isn't that it creates buzz on its own. It's that you can horizontally expand winning formats at high speed.
You don't have to think from scratch every time. That's why the number of trials increases. Because the number of trials increases, the number of hits also increases.
This accumulation led to the +25,000 followers this time.
