I earned 70 million yen in my first year of affiliate marketing.
I used only X (formerly Twitter).
I posted on X, gathered followers, and introduced other companies' products. This is what you call X affiliate marketing.
Moreover, from the first year, I ranked number one in Japan for affiliate marketing multiple times. I was number one in both sales and conversion counts.

I even stood side-by-side in the rankings with the famous Tsubasa Yozawa.

Listing these achievements might make it look like smooth sailing. But to be honest, it was hell back then.
I wasn't just running one account. I was managing over 20 accounts simultaneously. And it wasn't just about the quantity; I assigned different roles to each account:
- A main account for primary broadcasting
- Character-based accounts with different personas
- "Sakura" (shill) accounts to support the main account
- "Ura-aka" (hidden) accounts for sharing raw thoughts and behind-the-scenes info
- Push-type accounts for sending DMs to those who followed back
I ran dozens of these accounts with different roles at the same time. Each had a different character, tone, and content. I had to switch between these personas in my head while managing them all manually. Every day, I searched for topics, wrote posts, analyzed reactions, and wrote again—for 20 accounts. I cut back on sleep and did everything by hand.
At the time, I couldn't even use spreadsheets properly. So, I tracked the numbers for each account by hand on a whiteboard. Every day, I would write and erase numbers with a marker. Looking back, it was laughably analog. But I was that desperate.

And there is a moment I will never forget: the day my first affiliate commission was deposited. Seeing the numbers in my bankbook brought tears to my eyes. "What I've been doing wasn't wrong." I still remember that moment clearly.

The reality behind the 70 million yen was this kind of gritty work and emotional rollercoaster.
Then, times changed. An incredible tool called Claude Code appeared. I suddenly thought: "What would happen if I let Claude Code handle everything I used to do manually for those 20 accounts?"
I tried it. The conclusion: it was insane. Tasks that used to take hours were finished in minutes. And the accuracy might even be higher than mine was back then. Today, I will tell you everything honestly:
- The method I used to earn 70 million yen with X affiliate marketing
- How I replicated those tasks using Claude Code today
- How beginners should use it going forward
By the way, I share behind-the-scenes stories about "AI earning systems" like the one in this article in my open chat, "X Operation Strategy Room." It's free to join, so feel free to take a look.

Let's get into it.
What is X Affiliate Marketing Anyway?
First, a brief explanation for those who don't know. X affiliate marketing is a system where you introduce products or services on X, and if someone buys or signs up through your link, you earn a commission. Unlike a blog, you don't need to write long articles or rank high in search results. The moment you post, it reaches your followers, and if it gets shared, it spreads instantly. You can get results even with few followers. That is the strength of X affiliate marketing. The reason I earned 70 million yen in my first year was due to X's "virality" and "speed."
But as I said, doing this manually is incredibly hard. Let's look at what those "hard tasks" were and how Claude Code solves them.
The "4 Tasks" I Used to Earn 70 Million Yen
To earn with X affiliate marketing, I did these four tasks every day:
- Research (Finding what to post/topics)
- Post Creation (Writing posts that actually go viral)
- Posting & Operation (Continuing to post at optimal times)
- Analysis & Improvement (Seeing which posts hit and fixing them)
I repeated these four tasks relentlessly. Back then, I did it all by hand. I'd wake up, check trends, think of viral topics, write posts, check reactions, and apply that to the next post. Honestly, I had no days off. But these four tasks are exactly what Claude Code is best at. Let's compare "Me then" vs. "Claude Code now."
Task 1: Replicating Research with Claude Code
Me then (Manual):
I would open X every day and stare at viral posts. I'd manually note and analyze what topics were trending and what angles were working. This alone took 1-2 hours every day.
Claude Code now:
If you let Claude Code do it, it looks like this:
"Research the trends of viral posts in my niche recently. Summarize the patterns of which angles and hooks are growing."
With just that, it summarizes the trends. If linked with the X API, it can pull actual post data and analyze what themes are currently viral. Tasks that took me hours now finish in minutes. Plus, it does it objectively with data, without being swayed by emotion.
Task 2: Replicating Post Creation with Claude Code
Me then (Manual):
I wrote each post one by one based on the researched patterns. Choosing the right words to make it resonate was the most time-consuming and mentally draining task.
Claude Code now:
This is where Claude Code truly shines. The key is to make it learn your writing style. You give Claude Code your past viral posts and say:
"These are my past posts. Analyze this writing style and rhythm, and write in 'my voice' from now on. Use first-person 'boku,' short sentences, many line breaks, and a decisive tone."
It will then mass-produce posts that sound like you wrote them. By combining the "viral patterns" from research with your writing style, it generates multiple post candidates. What I used to struggle to write one by one now comes out in minutes with a prompt like "Write 3 patterns for this topic."
Furthermore, regarding the "role-based accounts," Claude Code can write for dozens of different personas. If you tell it the character setting for each account, it creates posts tailored to those personalities. It's truly insane.
However, a word of caution: don't post AI-generated content as-is. In 2026, readers can spot "AI-ish" posts immediately. Always check with your own eyes and make fine adjustments. The rule is "AI for the draft → Human for the finish."
Task 3: Replicating Posting & Operation with Claude Code
Me then (Manual):
Virality changes based on when you post. I used to be glued to my phone, posting manually during peak follower activity times. I was thinking about posting even while traveling or eating.
Claude Code now:
This can also be automated. By linking Claude Code with the X API or scheduling tools, you can create a system where posts flow automatically at set times like 7 AM, 12 PM, or 9 PM. X works for you while you sleep. In 2026, X's API has become easier to use, lowering the hurdle for this automation. But again, be careful. Automated "likes" or "replies" are prohibited. Only automate your own posts. My recommendation is "AI drafts → You do final check on phone → Post."
Task 4: Replicating Analysis & Improvement with Claude Code
Me then (Manual):
After posting, I'd see what grew and what didn't. As I mentioned, I tracked numbers for 20 accounts on a whiteboard and analyzed them based on gut feeling and experience.
Claude Code now:
This is where the biggest difference lies. You give the post data to Claude Code and ask:
"Analyze the posts from the last two weeks. Identify commonalities between posts that grew and those that didn't. Propose what should be improved next."
It provides the "winning pattern" based on data. It tells you which themes, times, and hooks worked. You then feed that back into the research and creation phase. This loop—Research → Creation → Posting → Analysis—starts running automatically and at high speed. I did this all by hand, which is why I had to work myself to death to earn 70 million yen. Now, Claude Code handles most of the loop.
What shocked me most is that the work for 20 accounts, which used to require 20 people's worth of effort, can now be handled collectively by Claude Code. The era has changed.
Honestly: Claude Code is Not "Magic"
If you think "I can just leave it to AI and it'll be easy," wait a moment. Claude Code is a tool to make work "faster." But the core strategy—what to broadcast, who to reach, and which products to introduce—must be decided by a human. If this is off, no amount of high-speed posting will make money. I earned 70 million yen because my "niche selection" and "offer selection" were on point. Claude Code explodes the "execution speed" of that strategy. You must hold the steering wheel.
The Actual Results of Trying It
So, what happened when I actually tried it? In conclusion, by letting Claude Code handle the work, I was able to earn 30 million yen in just 90 days. I reached a figure close to what I used to work myself to death for, but this time by delegating the work to AI. I was surprised myself. I've detailed exactly what I did during those 90 days in this article:

To Those Starting Now
I'm honestly jealous of people starting now. When I earned 70 million yen, it was all manual. But you have Claude Code. You can instantly acquire the "work speed" I had back then. I'm not saying you'll earn the same amount immediately, but your starting line is significantly further ahead. Start by letting Claude Code research "viral posts" in your niche. That is the entrance to everything.
Summary
- Research: 1-2 hours → Minutes
- Post Creation: Struggling to write → Mass production in your voice
- Posting: Glued to phone → Automated at optimal times
- Analysis: Gut feeling → Data-driven winning patterns
Work is for Claude Code. Strategy is for humans. This division is the way to win in affiliate marketing from now on. Those who master new tools go further. Move fast to grab the next big numbers.
