TL;DR

This guide explains how to integrate Fable5 and GPT5.6 Sol using cross-model commands. It provides prompts for adversarial reviews and brainstorming to eliminate AI blind spots and optimize workflow speed.

Fable5 and GPT5.6 Sol shouldn't be used in isolation; the correct approach is to make them cooperate. In this article, I will introduce how to make these two powerhouses work together, along with two copy-pasteable prompts.

It's not about choosing one over the other.

When you make them collaborate, the output becomes something entirely different.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You accept a mediocre AI response thinking, "I guess this is it."
  • You leave important writing or planning entirely to a single AI.
  • You ask the AI that created the content, "Is this okay?" and feel relieved when it says yes.

If even one of these applies, this article was written for you.

I'll provide three ways to make them cooperate, including real-life examples I use and two copy-pasteable prompts. Please bookmark this and make full use of it.

Now, let's get to the main topic.

Superiority is Determined by Field and Task

The top model on the Claude side is Fable5. The latest model on the GPT side is GPT5.6 Sol.

Which one is superior depends on the field and the task.

If you try to choose based on an overall intelligence score, you'll never decide.

I use both heavily every day. That's because their strengths are divided: Fable for planning and writing, and Sol for implementation and revision tasks. I'll detail the breakdown later.

The important thing is this: if their strengths are different, don't choose—combine them.

Actually, the Two Can Call Each Other

Many people don't know this, but these two can be linked.

If you are working in Claude Code, you can call GPT5.6 Sol using the codex exec command.

Conversely, if you are working in Codex, you can call the Claude Code side with the claude -p command.

In other words, you just need to ask one to "consult with the other."

Even if you don't understand the commands, just request it. You don't need to copy and paste back and forth between two screens. The AIs will communicate on their own. The only prerequisite is having both Claude Code and Codex installed on your PC.

Now, let me introduce three cases suitable for collaboration that I also practice.

1. For Deep Brainstorming, Let the Two Debate

For consultations without a single correct answer, like planning, policy, or structure, asking one AI results in a single perspective.

When you feel stuck, let them debate with each other. The request is simple: just throw this prompt at the AI you are currently using.

text
1Regarding this, please debate with GPT5.6 Sol using codex exec,
2and report back by separating the agreed-upon conclusions from the points of contention.
3【Topic to debate】Write your concern, plan, or policy here.

Counterarguments and alternative proposals will go back and forth between the two AIs, and the plan will naturally mature. I usually do this when I'm stuck on a project's direction or an article's structure.

When using it from the Codex side, just replace "GPT5.6 Sol via codex exec" with "Fable5 via claude -p."

2. Adversarial Review for Important Deliverables

While the first method is for refining before creation, this one is for identifying flaws before proceeding with a finished product.

The targets are things where backtracking is costly: plans, project proposals, or pitch documents.

If you ask the AI that created it, "Is this okay?", the AI tends to be lenient with its own work and will reply with things like "It's perfect" without any basis. Therefore, have the two perform a review specialized in nitpicking and combine their findings.

Here is the copy-paste prompt:

text
1Call the Fable5 sub-agent and GPT5.6 Sol via codex exec to have them each perform an adversarial review of this plan.
2
3- List problems, missing assumptions, and likely failure points in order of importance.
4- For points they aren't certain about, mark them as "Speculation."
5
6Report the findings by separating them into "Points raised by both" and "Points raised by only one."

Points raised by both should be fixed with the highest priority. Points raised by only one are the holes that would have been missed if you only used one AI.

I always run implementation or strategy plans through this before execution. This works for articles or landing pages—anything where you want to eliminate failures before publishing.

3. Assign Routine Tasks to the One Best Suited for Them

For daily tasks that aren't brainstorming or reviews, there's no need for debate. Assign them to the one that excels at them from the start. Here is my allocation:

  • Assign to Fable: Manuals, plan creation, general writing, idea generation, and other creative tasks.
  • Assign to GPT5.6 Sol: Implementation, code fixes, and routine execution tasks.

Implementation can be done by Fable too. However, it's a waste of tokens. To be honest, it's no match in terms of task speed. In my environment, Sol is 2 to 5 times faster. For a job Sol finished in 33 seconds, Fable took 4 minutes.

Route tasks to the faster, cheaper one, and save Fable for the "thinking" work. This is the most cost-effective way.

What to Do Starting Today

  • Superiority depends on the field and task. Don't choose; combine them.
  • For brainstorming, ask them to "debate with the other model."
  • For important deliverables, use adversarial reviews by both. One AI might miss something.
  • Task allocation: Fable for planning/writing/ideas, Sol for implementation/fixes.

Start today by taking one concern you currently have and throwing it in with the prompt from Collaboration Method #1. We have moved from the era of choosing one AI to the era of combining two. While people are arguing over which one is smarter, those who use both will pull ahead.
