TL;DR

High-performing individuals often possess a sharp intuition that allows them to read rooms and anticipate issues. This article argues that such 'sense' is developed by paying closer attention to the small details of everyday life.

Looking at people who are capable at work, almost all of them share an unusually sharp sense in common.

They can read the room, notice subtle changes in others, and have a "nose" for sensing when something is off. These people are able to produce results successfully. Academic background and qualifications have absolutely nothing to do with it.

They can smoothly verbalize a sense of discomfort that no one else mentions. They notice the moment a client's expression clouds over slightly and can change the flow of the conversation. They can sense a bad atmosphere on the ground before the numbers actually turn poor. These senses are not something that can be acquired through being taught.

Conversely, a common pattern among those who are not capable at work is that their senses are dull. They can do exactly as instructed, but no questions arise. They have the power to finish what they are told to do, but they lack the power to move before being told. Therefore, they are always one step behind and always on the defensive. Without realizing it is a problem of intuition, they feel they are working hard but wonder why things aren't going well.

So, where are these senses trained?

I believe it is the "resolution" of daily life. Do you really taste your food when you eat? Do you hear the meaning behind the words when talking to people? Do you actually see anything when walking through the city? Or are you just passing through everything in a blur? People with sharp senses have a habit of not letting daily life just flow by, so they get caught up in small things. That accumulation suddenly reveals itself in work situations.

It is the feeling of the body reacting before the mind.

The amount absorbed from the same experience is completely different between those who have that sense and those who do not. Even if they are at the same site hearing the same story, a gap somehow appears. That is likely the true nature of what is called "sense" or "talent."

To sharpen your senses, you just need to start by facing the things in front of you a little more seriously.

I also feel a biological strength in people with sharp senses. โ–ถ๏ธŽ@O__CEO
