Chernobyl Eve Cinematic Story

A prompt for a realistic cinematic story set in Pripyat one day before the Chernobyl disaster.

Prompt

Create a 30-second ultra-realistic cinematic story set in Pripyat, Soviet Ukraine, on April 25, 1986, one day before the Chernobyl disaster. No filming or cameras in the story. A young woman spends an ordinary spring afternoon with her best friend. They walk through Pripyat, buy ice cream, talk and laugh, passing apartment blocks, bicycles, children and everyday Soviet life. They visit the newly reopened amusement park and ride the Ferris wheel. From the top, they look across the peaceful city and see the Chernobyl nuclear plant in the distance. Her friend smiles and says, “Let's come back tomorrow.” She replies, “Of course.” Evening. She returns home. Her mother prepares dinner while her father comes home from work. The family eats together and talks casually. Later, the girl stands by her bedroom window, looking at the quiet lights of Pripyat. Cut to black. Natural performances, authentic 1986 Soviet clothing, architecture, cars and atmosphere. Realistic lighting and human behavior. No horror, no ominous effects, no disaster imagery, no exaggerated drama. Make it feel like a real historical moment that simply happened to be captured on film.
